Awesome Hawaii environment!Posted Jul 10, 2014
My wife and I had a great experience! The hotel is close to the beach and gives you more of a laid back local feel than the big resorts. It was great being able to walk out the hotel onto the beach. We also liked having a full kitchen to save a bit of money on food. The staff was very friendly and helpful when I asked them about local favorites. All in all it was a great experience and I will definately be back

We had one of the Garden View units and enjoyed it thoroughly. The sound of the running water in the koa pond was very peaceful.

Nice hotel by the beachPosted May 29, 2014
The setting was very beautiful and peaceful surroundings. Right on the beach. Two separate pools available -one heated and one not. Would be nice for a week long stay.

At beach, great pools, lush fragrant landscaping.Posted May 23, 2014
We were Leary when we first found the hotel, it has some years on it. But once we opened the door it was quite nice and very clean. Full kitchen, good seating area, nice decor.

Nice FindPosted May 14, 2014
Cons: We were in Maui during a heat wave (even the native Hawaiians said it was hot) and the hotel did not have air conditioning, just windows and screens.
Location: The Gazebo restaurant, famous for their beachfront site and wonderful breakfasts was right in front of the hotel
The hotel was easy to find. Parking was plentiful. The location and the beach nearby were great. The snorkeling on the beach right in front of the hotel was amazing, we saw turtles every day. The paddle board rentals on site were a better deal than anywhere else. We saw whales from the beach front pool. The buildings are older but have been updated and the grounds surrounding the area are stunning. It is a smaller facility than some but that was a plus in our eyes. We would definitely return.

Loved this hotel!Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Our 1st floor room had a cute lanai that opened onto the yard in between the buildings and it was fun to be able to come and go with the lanai.
Location: The hotel is NOT close to any food options except for the two restaurants on site. So if you want a grocery store, you'll be driving into Lahaina.
We initially only booked at Napili for two nights because our trip was continuing on in another city, and due to a flight cancellation, we only got to enjoy one night here. Despite our flight cancellation meaning that we couldn't arrive on time for our reservation, the hotel staff was kind to us over the phone, and told us that our room would be ready for us whenever we arrived. So, as soon as we landed and headed there, we were able to check in at 10am. What a relief considering we'd just had an exhausting trip trying to even get to Hawaii. The hostess remembered our names when we checked out and was very sweet and knowledgable. The property is gorgeous with a beautifully manicured common area lawn in between the buildings. They have a well-kept fish pond and the grounds are perfect for picnics, walks, and anything in between. We did not take advantage of the restaurants or pool while we were there. The best part was being so close to the beach. All we had to do was walk to the end of the parking lot, go through a gate, and there was the beach. No driving or crossing busy roads. And what a beautiful beach it is. It feels small and quaint but is plenty big to hold anybody there from the other resorts along the beach side. It was a beautiful spot to watch sunsets. Our room was clean and surprisingly well equipped. Good wifi & tv service. I wasn't aware that it had a fully equipped kitchen until we arrived, and that was a joyous surprise.

hotel or timeshare?Posted Apr 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
Since I booked on hotels.com, I thought this was a hotel, expecting maid service for the room, but was told that it was a timeshare with no service until Sunday when I would not be there since we were only staying at Napili before checking into our own timeshare in kannapali. Also, they would not even consider one extra hour as a late checkout. Otherwise the property is very nice in a beautiful location. The rooms are a bit old.

Everything was very good....our first time to Hawaii, and this hotel made the experience perfect. The right mix of activities, accessibility to the beach in a quiet laid back environment. You'll like it.
