Exquisite views, sunsets !

Posted Feb 23, 2015
Pros: Courteous , efficient desk clerks who are mostly Hawaiian check you in. .A knowlegable connsierage will help you plan your stay .
Cons: More consistent hours at the reasonably priced poolside cabana . Don't miss the pineapple sherbet , others loved the Hawaiian shaved ice.
Location: You are in a residential area , so you might want to rent a car ; however you have bus service on both streets Rt. 30 walking distance.
We arrived at the airport by a shuttle service that was late and we were tired! The location and building are stunning . This is the tallest building on the island, according to the driver. It looks like a giant V shape. With 12 floors , the largest suites are located in the middle and both ends of each floor. This provides 36 penthouses or apartments to own . ( There are 3 owners currently living in them.) Our one bedroom was on the second floor with stunning views of sunrises and sunsets. All rooms have some view of the ocean because of the buildings design. We did not have the best location for shopping but we did not come to Hawaii to do that. With a very large swimming pool with acess to the ocean and chaise chairs also available on a grassy area facing the ocean you begin to feel like one of those lucky owners!

A reasonable place

Posted Feb 22, 2015
Cons: Have wider parking stalls for the cars.
Location: did have a few food places in a walking distance from the hotel to eat at.
Clean well kept up hotel. Beautiful grounds. I would have liked to see a few more Ice michines, but did love the full kitchens. Loved the full size fridge. Liked having the washer/ driers in the rooms.Parking spaces could be a little bit wider making it easier to park the cars. many actives there to do.

Cons: Internet repeatedly went down after a few minutes of use. Didn't spend much time watching tv, but it would be nice to have HD tv.
Great beach, nice balconies with great view and the full kitchen and washer/dryer was very much appreciated after spending the previous 10 nights in other higher rated and more expensive hotels with far less amenities.

Good what for price paid

Posted Feb 20, 2015
Content with my stay here. Nothing fancy or anything but enjoyable for what was paid. I stayed 5 days and maid only came once and I had to pay $100 for maid to come clean at end of stay. Otherwise staff were friendly. Good location Ideal for couples or people not looking lto spend tonnes of time at hotel

On the beach but not a nice swimming beach

Posted Feb 16, 2015
Staff are never helpful. We were to get comp cleaning twice during the stay. They didn't show one day so when I called they said they would come the next day but never did. Bottom line is they don't care and won't bother fixing Amy issues you may have.

royal Kahana Outrigger

Pros: Location
Cons: Chairs on the beach.
Location: Good snorkeling beach about 15 minutes away.
It was a good location. Close to a snorkeling beach and some good places to eat. A storm had taken some of the beach. But there were no chairs to sit on on the beach. We called 3 times to let them know the air conditioner in the guest bedroom was not working. One time they changed the filter. It would not get cooler than 78. The washing machine and dish washer were hard to start. The carpets needed to be cleaned. We could see whales from the deck which was neat.

Close to the beach!

Somewhat dated, but clean and close to the beach...although not great swimming in this part of the ocean for kids due to the strong waves. Very strict "house rules", one of which included no snorkelling in the pool, my 5 year old son was wanting to practice before going into the ocean and no other guests were in or around the pool, and yet we were given a warning by security :(

Our Stay

Posted Jan 30, 2015
Pros: Personel was nice
Cons: Better lighting Everywhere??
Location: Am glad that there is a store close and a Mc-D
My sister's and I stayed at your place for 1 week, It was a pleasant stay since we are all in our 80's. Only thing I wished for is a better place to take a walk, side walks are narrow and cannot always see the ocean. You do have to have a car if you want to go anyplace. Street lights and Hall way lights are dim or none!!!. But we did enjoy the weather and our deck. Yes we will come again.

Older decor, and outdated but our family didn't mind. We loved that we had a kitchen and view of the ocean. There were nice clean barbecues by the pool and in the evening when the kids were swimming in the pool, we would BBQ along with other guests. They cleaned the room once during our week long visit which was a little rough but they provided everything we needed. Dishes and utensils, pots and pans were all brand new along with the carpet which even smelled new. If you are looking for a low key, comfortable stay without bells and whistles this is a nice place to stay. Only had one issue. We thought we would have had a better full view of ocean but we were given the end unit 620. It would have been awesome to have had a center unit. We asked the clerk when we arrived on Monday. She did say we could call back on Wed to see if one became available. We never did.
