Worst rooms to Expedia

At check in the check in staff matter of fact state said, we give our lowest rated rooms to Expedia customers. The person next to, travelling with us, got bumped up to top floor by other staff. In fact the rooms were the worst we have every had on any holiday. Terrible location, stuff and staff not working in room, where we had to get some stuff rectified almost daily, clogged shower drains, coffee makers, coffe condiments etc. Great island/holiday lousy hotel.

Hotel was overall awesome. One incident happen where someone smoking in room and set off the smoke alarm. The entire hotel was evacuated at 2 in the morning. A simple apology would have gone a long way. The prepaid breakfast should have been clearly explained. Very deceitful.

Bucket list trip to Maui w/ocean front cottage.

Pros: Location, entertainment, grounds, services available, Pete's coffee.
Cons: We would have appreciated a "do not disturb" sign to hang on door. Also, the parking arrangement is WAY too tight. Better cream for coffee.
Location: Turtle watching nearby at cemetery, historic village for shopping, easy highway to summit, Hanna, airport.
We wanted a cottage OCEAN FRONT and were given Cottage A close to facilities and not far to walk however, we were looking out our slider at a pool and pool building. So we were moved to the last cottage E which was very close to beach and wide open view. Further to walk but we loved it. Thank you.

Disappointed in Front Desk Supervisor and Staff

Pros: That it was directly on the beach.
Cons: The hospitality of staff upon the initial greeting.
Location: Lahaina Beach
Front desk staff and Supervisor were not friendly and gave away our room. After a 19.5 hour flight, we were not offered any way to compensate for this or hospitality. We were asked to wait and then was given a sub-standard room. Dining room and beach staff were very pleasant and always helpful!

A Pleasant Experience

Pros: A big plus - the beach was very close. Also, free shuttle service within the resort area.
Cons: Need to improve in getting food from the kitchen to the customer in a timely manner.
Location: Location was perfect. Close to restaurants and shopping.
The hotel staff was very friendly and courteous, and housekeeping did an excellent job keeping the room clean. The bartenders and wait staff provided a lot of information regarding restaurants and things to do.

Cons: GET STAFF. TRAIN STAFF. SHOW STAFF HOW TO SERVE AND LOOK AFTER GUESTS. THE WAITING STAFF IN YOUR MAIN RESTAURANT / BAR ARE RUDE, SLOW INEAND ENTRIELY
Location: GREAT LOCATION. HANDY TO SHOPS AND GOLF COURSES
ON CHECKING IN I WAS ENCOURAGED TO UPGARDE AT CONSIDERABLE COST TO A ROOM CLOSE TO BEACH BAR AND POOL FOR EXTRA US$75- NIGHT. I TOOK IT. IT WAS NASTY - SO SMALL. BAR FRIDGE SITS ON FLOOR IN BATHROOM. WARDROBE ALSO IN BATHROOM. BATHROOM HAD TERRIBLE SMELL. PROABBLY THE WORST ROOM I HAVE STAYED IN EVER. I TRAVEL ALOT ESPECIALLY THORUGH ASIA AND MAINLY CHINA. I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANYTHING AS BAD AS THIS. ON COMPLAINING TO MANAGER I WAS OFFERED A FURTHER UPGRADE INTO MAIN HOTEL AND DID END UP WITH A GOOD ROOM HOWEVER AT MORE THAN TWICE PRICE OF ORIGINAL EXPEDIA BOOKING.

Room was old & needs doing up. No hot water most mornings. Asked for garden room close to pool & beach or room was the furtheredt from both. Would just for breakfast eat hotel next door. I didn't enjoy staying at this hotel at all.

A very relaxing stay

Pros: We liked our room, the easy access to the facilities and the gardens.
Location: Whaler's Village is an easy 10-minute walk away and, once there, the buses go north to Napili and south to Lahaina. (We didn't have a car).
We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay in one of the cottages overlooking the golf course. The beach was a minute away as were the pools and bar. Our room was a good size, we had 2 double beds. The resort itself felt spacious and the grounds are beautifully landscaped. We liked that it was a bit further away from all the resorts closer to Whaler's Village.
