Hotel needs repainting, renovation

Posted Oct 20, 2014
Pros: Friendly staff, good sized rooms
Cons: Renovation, painting, Wi-Fi
Location: Good location, plenty of activities nearby
All good except Wi-Fi never worked for more than a few minutes. had to INSIST we were not paying for any attempts to get it. Clerk tried to blame it on our devices. pool lounge chairs, cushions need replacing.

Family getaway

Posted Oct 19, 2014
Pros: The location is what brought us back. We were at this same property one year ago.
Cons: The room cleaning staff often forgot to refresh the coffee and the cups. We had 3 rooms booked and it was happening in each room.
Location: Going into the old town of Lahiana, which is awesome. Plus walking up the beach to Dukes for lunch, a favorite thing I like to do.
Beautifully set at the end of the beach at Black rock. It is the beast part of the beach. The ocean is warm and wavy which makes for a lot of fun!!!!!!!!!!!!

we were offered 2 beds for our honeymoon .

Posted Oct 18, 2014
First day was terrible . customer service guy wasn't pleasant at all . we were standing in the lobby wondering which way we should go . he was just looking at us and didn't offer his help . Then we figured out that he was the customer service person to check in. didn't smile at all or welcomed . offered us 2 beds room for our honeymoon . no apologies nothing . next day they moved us into our actual room .but it wasn't great experience . Other staff was very pleasant and helpfull . they all were so nic. we enjoyed our stay . but as you know first impression is last impression.

Clean Rooms, Great location

Posted Oct 16, 2014
Pros: Location, cleanliness, bed linens, great staff, Black Rock, live music by the pool at night.
Cons: Lower resort fee. Free use of beach chairs for Resort guests.
Location: Whalers Museum, shopping, and several restaurants just down the beach.
My husband and I loved our trip to Maui. The Sheraton Maui was the perfect resort for us. Our room was clean and the bed was so comfortable. In my travels, I have seldom found a bed that actually gives me a good night's sleep. The pillows and linens were top quality and made my vacation feel like a vacation. The pool side bar even cut fresh pineapples for us! The staff was super helpful. The location is perfect. Just a walk down the beach to Whalers Museum and shops and many restaurants right on the beach. We will definitely stay here again. We highly recommend this resort. It truly was a perfect vacation.

Fabulous location! Beautiful resort!

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Cons: Very expensive.
The breakfast buffet is quite expensive but if you walk down to Whalers Village and eat at Ruby's you will have great breakfast for a 1/3rd ofor the price. This resort is great for relaxation as nothing happens after 10:30pm. Great for early risers like myself and the many joggers I watched from my patio each morning as I drank my Starbucks Coffee.

The grounds were fantastic but the room was old

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: The pool area was great as well as the grounds. The massage/spa facility was great also
Cons: the rooms need to be uodated
Location: You can go snorkelling around Black Rock and swim with turtles which is great and there are a lot of fish swimming around very close to shore
We had a really nice time by the pool and the beach. The bars were great. The prices of dining at hotel were a bit on the expensive side and we were discouraged from eating there often
