Great location right on the Ocean.

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Great beach and beautiful pool. Beautiful landscaping and mountain views .
Location: Very close to restaurants and shopping as well as excursions.
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. They did have some construction going on at the time of our stay but it didn't inconvenience us in any way. Great location right on the Ocean with a large beach. They also have a beautiful pool. We stayed in an ocean view suite which was a beautiful room with a great view of the Ocean and gorgeous scenery. Very clean rooms and really friendly staff. We will return to this hotel on our next visit.

Roach and leaks.

Posted May 21, 2015
Pros: Close to black rock.
Cons: Hotel desperately need a renovation.
Location: Snorkel near black rock and walking distance to Whaler Village.
There's a roach in our room hiding under coffee maker. Then there's water leaks under sink. Really bad. Management didn't even bother apologizing.

Customer Service Lacking

Posted May 20, 2015
The strong points of the hotel are the grounds and the beach. My view from our balcony was breathtaking and our room was very clean. The hotel does not have the "aloha spirit" and the customer service is lacking. The person who checked us in was borderline rude. The outside bar/grill needs a makeover. I was given a dirty paper menu and the service was not good. With more attention to detail and better customer service this would be an awesome hotel.

Upset

Pros: Snorkeling.
Cons: Need to fix roach problem. Need more attentive staff.
Roaches in room, in walkways and in clean towels. They gave me a small discount. Snorkeling is top notch!

Meh. Noisey. Overpriced. Outdated.

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Self-Parking was included in the restort fee. After separate parking fee and resort fee sat other hotel it feels better but its not really 'like'
Cons: The resort.
Location: beach is nice near buy.
Our room was next to elevator and heard it running at al hours. Other rooms at least may not have that problem, but then there was is construction noise all over the restort. Thats annoying too! And something was up with our door and would make whistling noises due to the wind (unless you put a towel under the door!) This may be ok if this was a budget hotel. But its not. For the price (and daily RESORT FEE!! of something like $35) the room should be resort like and at least quiet (and hopefully somewhat current decor). Do yourselves a favor and stay somewhere else. The pluses, happy hour at the bar. Cliff diving in the evening, cool swimming pool. (you can stay at the next resort and still check these things out. fyi)

close to the beach

Posted May 17, 2015
the main attarction of this hotel is that it is close to the beach and black rock where a good spot for snorkling. Breakfast buffet is expensive $30 per person. There is an open shopping mall 15 minutes walk by the beach and there is an ABC store where ypu can shope basic goods.. and also theres a lot of restaurant in that area called whalers village. i like sheraton bec the grounds is open and quite and not congested.

Beautiful place.

The Maui Sheraton is a great place to stay. The hotel is massive in size and overlooks the beach. The hotel staff was awesome the entire time we were there. The negative would be the $36 daily add on fee that you find out about when you check in. We stayed 11 days and the fee add on was a bummer.

The only thing that I would change is the room. Rooms are old, bathrooms are way too small. The rest, this is q fantastic hotel!!!

Honeymoon ruined at Check-in

Posted May 16, 2015
Excitedly, we headed to our honeymoon in Maui. It was a tiring flight, tiring wait to get our rental car, & a bit of a long tiring drive to our hotel. So when we finally got to Sheraton Maui, we were so looking forward to getting some rest & start our honeymoon. To our unpleasant surprise, I was told that we had a room with 2 full size beds. I explained that my reservation was for one king size bed which was confirmed by Expedia. The check-in person then said room details are not guaranteed for bookings thru travel websites. She said that all rooms with king size beds are booked for "Garden View" rooms & to get a king size bed that day would require us to pay a $100 per night upgrade to a "Beach View" room. I even showed the check-in person the confirmation email from Expedia that showed 1 room with a king size bed. We're on our honeymoon, you expect us to sleep in 2 separate beds? The check-in person just kept repeating that we would have to pay extra to get a king size bed that day. So I felt held hostaged with no choice but to pay for a king size bed. I'm on my honeymoon, I will under no circumstance be sleeping in a separate bed from my new spouse. So I paid! But I'm certainly not happy about it. I will never return to another Sheraton Hotel nor use Expedia again since the booking I made through Expedia was not honored by the hotels.
