Ritz in Maui.Posted Jul 4, 2015
Pros: Beautiful hotel with great pool and grounds. Rooms were spacious and clean. Very comfortable for a family of 5.
Cons: Beach chairs and service on the beach itself.
Location: Great location in Kapalua and near Lahania, which was an excellent beach town with shops and restaurants.
Great hotel with excellent staff, restaurants, rooms and decor. The only issue I had was the lack of beach service or beach chairs. Only towels were supplied on the beach itself. Otherwise, I would highly recommend and cannot wait to go back to the Ritz on Maui.

Great experience!Posted Jul 3, 2015
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. We had an ocean view room that was beautifully decorated with all amenities. The staff was super friendly and courteous. We are no meals on the property so I can't comment on the food. Everything else was top notch.

Cons: When charging this kind of money, how do they justify charging $20-plus a day for self-parking hundreds of yards from the hotel? Left a bad taste.
Special location, brilliantly designed, combining luxurious experience with breath-taking nature. Backed by impeccable service, but...

First class resort with all the amenities!Posted Jul 1, 2015
Pros: Location, location, location!
Location: Beach front and close to golf at the Plantation Course.
Was allowed to check-in early and had a beautiful room overlooking the ocean. Plenty of beach and pool loungers with a heated pool that was open 24 hours. Loved they had an "adult only" pool and hot tub!

Excellent location, facility, and staff.Posted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Great staff, grounds are immaculate, pool is a good size / not too crowded, beach access, secluded from other major resorts.
Cons: The restaurants are only average. Fine bar / pool fare, but you would be better served dining elsewhere on the island for dinner.
Location: Kaanapali is very close by, and if you are a golfer, the course at Kapalua appeared very nice. There is a trail that goes down to Kapalua Bay.
We came here for our honeymoon in June of 2015. I had never stayed on Maui or anywhere in Hawaii previously. When I first checked in, I was somewhat underwhelmed on the room based on the price tag. However, the place really grew on me over the course of our stay as I came to understand everything at the island was at a premium price tag. Compared to other resorts we came across during our stay, this one appeared perfect for our needs. It is located on Kapalua, we is a little more isolated than the resorts on Kaanapali or Wailea. This was perfect for us as we were on our honeymoon (less people, most of all, less kids). The grounds themselves are extremely nice. Great pool, beach access, and plenty of restaurants either at the resort, within walking distance, or a shuttle ride away. Kaanapali is about a 10 minute drive to the south, which worked out perfectly. Hotel staff is really great. The only drawback is the price, which will probably price a lot of people for a family vacation. If you are doing Maui for a special occassion (or is someone else is footing the bill), this place should be at the top of your list. If you are doing a family vacation or plan on doing lots of activities, you will probably want something a little more centrally located with a more reasonable price.

Great location, beautiful property, great staffPosted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: The staff was probably the best we have ever seen anywhere. The room was perfect for two adults and two smaller children (seven and nine years old).
Cons: The food was ok but not great and was expensive.
Location: Great location near Kapalua bay beach and Napili bay beach. Fantastic snorkeling.
The staff is incredibly well trained. The property is pristine and in a great location on the island. the room was perfect. They have a sunset ceremony every night at 6:30 which we tried to attend because it was so interesting and spiritual. A local Hawaiian explains the spiritual significance of the burial site which has been preserved between the hotel grounds and the beach and honors the previous generations with a prayer and the ceremonial blowing of a conk shell.

Ritz CarltonPosted Jun 25, 2015
Pros: The grounds are beautiful, close to golf.
Cons: Would have preferred to have closer access to the beach. The beach at the Ritz Carlton was a bit of a walk down a large hill
You would expect the Ritz Carlton to be at the top of their game....and the Kapalua Ritz Carlton is no exception. You are welcomed and greeted the moment you arrive by someone from the hotel and given a beautiful necklace. The greeting alone makes you feel as if you just pulled into your best friends home. During our week stay, the staff begin to remember your name which again makes you feel welcome and apart of their family. Its expensive of course, its the Ritz Carlton, however made the stay amazing.
