Beautiful hotel location.Posted Feb 22, 2014
Amazing views on the property, friendly staff, and very accommodating for families. The Ambassador program for kids is great option for the kids. It's more expensive, but we usually only do 1 big family vacation a year.

Luxurious hotelPosted Feb 20, 2014
Pros: hotel facility like pools and landscape.
Cons: After reservation, I know there are extra parking fee and facility usage fee. Please tell us this hotel policy before reservation.
When I made the reservation, I thought I paid all fees. But they charged extra parking fee and facility usage fee. This hotel policy makes me uncomfortable. When I was using my notebook, an ant was moving on the display. After that I could not find any ants.

Hard to find a better place to stay !!Posted Feb 15, 2014
Pros: All of it !!
Location: At the hotel there are several pools, a golf course, tennis courts, walking/jogging trails, access to the beach and plenty of restaurants.
The Ritz-Carlton Kapalua was extraordinary. Right from the start the staff treated us wonderfully, constantly asking us if we needed anything. The facility and the grounds were spectacular, with a multi-tiered pool, Jacuzzi's, several restaurants, a great workout area and lots of places to walk. We had requested a room with a view of the ocean and we were not disappointed with a great view of the water. The room was very nice and we almost felt a bit guilty not spending more time in it. We ate at three of the restaurants and the food was delicious at each one. Overall a wonderful experience that ended to quickly!!

always great at the RitzPosted Feb 11, 2014
Pros: Beautiful hotel and grounds and great staff and service throughout
Location: Make sure to check out the Comedy Magic show in Lahaina. This was the best part of our week. (Warren and Annebelle's.)
Stayed in an ocean view residential suite for 9 nights. Loved the room and service throughout the hotel and the great guys at the valet!

Well worth the money!!Posted Feb 6, 2014
Pros: Staff (friendly and outgoing), grounds (beautiful), rooms (spacious), pools, golf course, general store within walking distance
If you want peace and quite away from the tourist areas in Maui, book the Ritz Carlton! The staff is outstanding, the grounds immaculate and beautiful, and the rooms are spacious and accomodating. We were within a 10 minute drive to Kaanapali (variety of restaurants, bars, and sprawling public beaches) and could easily book whale watching, snorkeling, etc on site. Again, if you really want a peaceful vacation and time to relax...book the Ritz Carlton.

Luxury in KapaluaPosted Feb 4, 2014
Pros: Everything, but, ultimately, I was willing to pay the price for 2 nights. It was worth the price! I liked being greeted by everyone!
Cons: The computer system never seemed to be accurate, why is that, with such a luxury brand and such excellent programers these days? It was all ok
Location: It is in Kapalua, northern part of island, so it is more windy, but has its own beach front all to yourself! Walked to Sansei 5 min walk from the hote
Well, it was on sale, so, we needed 2 nights after renting a condo for a week. The price was right, the Hotel is Superb, landscaping, staff, amenities, pools. It has its own beach front, easy to walk right in to the ocean, no high surf, just easy waves. Glad we decided to have lunch on the Beach front, not only were the drinks excellent, at a decent price, but, the food was so delicious and fresh! Waitress scored big points too! The bed was very comfortable. Everyone greets you, wherever you are!

Lovely HotelPosted Jan 23, 2014
The hotel was great and the service was amazing. The food prices not so easy to swallow, we ended up taking the bus to Napili market and got lunch stuff. Also take the bus to Whalers Village and down by the water is Leilani's and the casual dinning has fantastic taco's. We loved the hotel but it was to far out of town for us.

Phenomenal experience, could not have been happierPosted Jan 21, 2014
Pros: Beautiful facilities, landscaping, staff, food, service..you name it!
Cons: Honestly we didn't experience anything, other than expensive coffee at the lobby coffee shop that we noticed as a negative experience....
Location: We went Whale Watching in Lahaina, took the mountain hike to the top at Kapalua to see the lake, and used the pool and restaurants during the day.
Excellent!! We had the best time, from Kai and all of the Concierge's who helped us out so much, to Todd and the bartenders, the front staff, everyone was wonderful, and we are coming back next year to the same island, and same resort! Please make sure the GM of the hotel receives our comments!! The facilities were excellent and the staff handled everything perfectly for us! THANK YOU Tom Rojas Allison Preus

Great property, excellent beach.Posted Jan 3, 2014
Pros: The Hotel has excellent food in both the Kai and Terrace restaurants, all exceptional.
Cons: The staff friendliness was mixed. The front desk staff was helpful, but not what I expected from a Ritz. The bell staff was not service oriented.
Location: The Beach was excellent, and Sansei was exceptional, the best Sushi we'd ever had - all at reasonable prices.
The Ritz in Kapalua was nice, although not on par with what we had expected for the price. We had an ocean view club level room, but the ocean view was not exactly what we expected and the room size for the price was smaller than comparable Hotels we've stayed at including the JW Marriott in Ilihani and the Fairmont Orchid in Kona. The staff was mixed, the club level concierge staff was exceptionally helpful, but the bell staff did odd things like shove a luggage cart into a full elevator instead of waiting for an empty car. Also the Concierge on the main level screwed up our Surf lesson location and didn't come clean and tell us. Little things through the trip make a difference and there were a number of little things. The New Years Eve buffet was disorganized, the food was excellent, but the staff and service non-existent. It was unacceptable to add a automatic gratuity given the 100% lack of dinner service.
