Everything about the stay was great, except I didn’t like that there were many extra fees once I got to the hotel. I looked at the receipt and there was a whole list of fees that I didn’t expect. The staff at the front desk was also pretty cold and not so friendly, only one of them was really nice and gave me nice attention. When you spend so much on a resort vacation, you want to be treated well, so I was surprised that the front desk staff wasn’t so friendly and accommodating to my questions and needs.

The hotel grounds are beautiful and it felt like you were at a resort. Love the atrium in the lobby. Centrally located too along the row of hotels in this area.

Overall it's a beautiful property and most of the staff were friendly & helpful. I loved the benefit of being in the Hokupa'a Tower and would highly recommend that option if you're staying there. It places you closer to most of the amenities, upgraded rooms & lanai with included food & drink options offered throughout the day make it worth it. There were two things that I found to be disheartening.1) Most of the outdoor furniture was dirty. Sometimes it was bird poop, sometimes it was an indistinguishable stain, oftentimes, it was multiple stains. I couldn't understand why such a nice hotel wouldn't clean or replace such disgusting chair or couch cushions. I saw this on the furniture on our room's personal lanai as well as throughout the property at restaurants, lounge areas, etc. 2) The resort offers you a hospitality room to shower/freshen up on your last day if you have a late flight. I thought this was a wonderful amenity, especially since check out is at 11am & our flight wasn't leaving until 7pm. That meant we could hang out at the beach or pool or do another tour and before heading to the airport, then shower and change before a long 12 hour flight. I didn't realize that these hospitality rooms would be dirty. It was clear that they did not clean the rooms in between hotel guest usage. There were dirty towels on the floor, used beds and used showers. We were condescendingly told to deal with it, as it's a free amenity and they didn't have time to clean in between.

Westin has disappointed
When you're paying $1000/night and breakfast is included- you don't expect to be nickeled and dimed for breakfast. Hands down a disappointing breakfast! And they make it so you're covered for only $30/pp and make breakfast $34 and you have to pay for coffee and it works out to another $30+ for breakfast. I call a scam and the waiters are not incentivized to treat you with any type of customer service. They may as well be serving food in a McDonalds given their lack of commitment to customer service. We didn't eat breakfast there after two seriously subpar breakfasts. Also- your beach chairs should be complimentary. This hotel is not worth more than $500/per night.

This was one of if not the nicest hotels my wife and I have stayed at. We traveled here for our delayed honeymoon, and they gave us a complimentary upgrade to the ocean tower with access to the lanai. Very friendly staff and the hotel was immaculate. We will definitely be returning. The only thing thay we didn't think was worth it was the lanai access. They give out small bites throught the day, and offer small breakfast and dinner options. They also had a cash bar and soft drinks available. For the price one would have to pay, it should be an open bar, and tbey should have more food availability throughout the day other than apples and bananas. Other than that, this hotel was incredible!

AMAZING!, a Beautiful resort with everything you need! We stayed in the Hokupa‘a which included the Lanai, best breakfast bites where you could enjoy looking out to the beach every morning, the view from our room was amazing, the best pools my family really enjoyed and of course the beautiful, warm beach right in front of the resort, the staff was the best, always checking in on us by the pool or at the Lanai. There were so many restaurants choices and the nicest shopping mall The Whaler, we had fun shopping. We had an amazing time! What a vacation. We will definitely be back next summer with more family!

Too expensive for what you get.
Much too expensive for what you get. Despite the high price you still get nickel and domed at every turn- must pay for a beach chair and umbrella (and it’s not cheap!), etc. Property is beautiful but the experience is just okay. Our shampoo and conditioner were empty upon arrival, house keeping left a bottle of cleaner on our night stand, valet was occasionally MIA, etc. Not a big deal, but when you are paying 900/night you expect a little more detail orientation. Plenty of cheaper properties nearby with better quality, or similarly priced properties with much better service.
