It is a beautiful hotel with all the facilities! We had a wonderful ocean view and it was very peaceful and pleasant. We were very happy in all the services we received. Thank you Westin Maui !

Overall excellentPosted Apr 19, 2015
Great location on the best beach and near both Whaler's Village and Lahaina. Hotel is clean and staff were great. One thing we wanted to see more is umbrellas by the pool as it was hard to find some shade in the afternoon. Definitely the best hotel in Kaanapali.

Mold in our room.Posted Apr 14, 2015
We asked to be upgraded. The cost was $100 a night more. We had no issue with that. The first night my wife woke up gasping for air. There was mold in the room. They moved us the next day and still charged the $100 per night. We had to fight and got most of the $100 per night waived but they still kept the night my wife got sick. Very bad service.

Great high rise on KaanapaliPosted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: The views - the pool - the lagoon with birds & fish.
Cons: The large water slide needs some rework - it was really slow and a disappointment from what we were expecting.
Location: Close to Lahaina and all kinds of activities available right at the beach.
Spent two night here with the family. The girls (ages 10 & 13) loved the pool and other facility amenities - especially the macaws, swans, flamingos, and koi in the lobby lagoon. Awesome views from our 9th floor room. Hard to beat.

Awesome resort on a beautiful beach.Posted Apr 11, 2015
Cons: Front desk needs more staff. Always a line.
Location: Old Lahaina Luau!
Pool area is amazing for kids... Big, fun slide, waterfalls, cave with a hidden pool in the cave. Mom & Dad can relax with a beautiful view of beach & great cocktails while the kids are occupied for hours! Only drawback, there never seemed to be enough staff manning the front desk. There was always a line.

Cons: Pool side service. We would've ordered a lot more food and drinks if service was available.
Nice place, good for the money. Got a top floor room. Food was very good, but breakfast was expensive.

Wonderful place to stay!!Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Location, amenities, friendly service
Cons: The morning restaurant service really, really needs improvement. The communication with hostess, seaters, and servers really needs help!!
There were 10 of us and we loved staying at this hotel!! The staff was wonderful, except for the confusion in the morning at the restaurant. Poor communication between employees taking our names, seating us, and server. Otherwise, all other areas of resort employees were amazing!! We have stayed here before and will certainly stay again on our next trip to Maui. Food was delicious!!

Good but not great. Room service below average.Posted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The whole beach area (2 miles stretch) with the boardwalk and nearby restaurants is beautiful. Sweet location.
Cons: Room service had major issues (see above). Rooms are very below average for a Westin. We upgraded our room but it still had the issues above.
Great pool area but the Westin hotel rooms are in need of a makeover. We just stayed here for a week in the more-expensive rooms in the building closer to the water (Premier Deluxe Ocean View Room). The small details of the room are just not there – faucet for shower handle didn’t work, carpet is old, pipes exposed under sink, etc. Room service was below average. Didn’t arrive until 6 pm one day... we had to call the front desk to prompt them to get there before we were going out. They forgot to give water bottles (that’s part of your extra resort fee) two days, phone didn’t work, etc... so we called the front desk to get basic things fixed 4-5 times. But the big one was, I took a shower, toweled off with a fresh towel, was going to put it back on the rack, and noticed the towel was dirty!!!! As in, I won’t say what was on it, but it’s disgusting. Anyway I called the front desk and they gave us all new towels, and I quickly moved on, but it happened. The area itself is fantastic (Ka’anapali beach) and stretches for 2-3 miles. Great restaurants near the hotel. Maui is sweet and we loved it but try to find a hotel with better rooms (I have heard the Ritz is awesome and the Hyatt very good). Spend the extra money to get better rooms (with ocean view for sure) if you can afford it.

Second visit. Still nice as ever.Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: We liked the pool a lot. The kids (11 and 14) spent a lot of time at the pool. It's safe and convenient. You have to get to the pool early.
Cons: The food pricing is expensive! Oh my. Also better monitoring of the pool chairs so we don't have to scramble so much for those.
Location: The mall next door and Front Street is very convenient.
We were here three years ago and decided to come back to same hotel. Everything was very nice. The food is expensive but we still ate at the breakfast buffet a couple of times. There is a very convenient mall next door to save some dollars on any incidentals you may need. I became a fan of the ABC store that provided relatively cheap items very conveniently. Overall the staff is there to help and the kids loved the visit.
