MAUI - Wailea Grand Champions Villas 2 day stayPosted Oct 15, 2014
Pros: Location, views, access to activities
Cons: Some appliances in the condo (coffee maker not in good condition)
Location: One of Maui's best locations within short distance to everything the island has to offer.
Great locations, within only few minutes to beaches, shops and restaurants; very quiet; nice views of the ocean and golf course; very comfortable condo unit with 1 bed and 2 baths; very clean.

Pros: Location, quietness, views, layout
Location: beach, tennis, golf, strolling
This was better than we expected. The view from our room, overlooking the golf course out to the ocean and islands, was spectacular with awesome sunsets. The 2BR 2Bath unit with full kitchen and laundry facilities was perfect - clean and highly functional. High ceilings and living area leading into the lanai gave it a sense of openness. The AC worked perfectly and in the evenings windows and vents allowed pleasant cross breezes through. The beach and 1.5 mi Wailea oceanfront walkway was a quick 20 min walk or 5 min drive (free parking) to great strolling, swimming, and snorkeling (we saw lots of tropical fish at the coral reef, very sandy beaches). Also located nearby are the Wailea shops, an open air mall with high end stores but also restaurants, art galleries, ice cream and convenience stores. Being a tennis buff the Grand Champions is adjacent to the Wailea tennis club and I walked over there for matches and clinics several mornings. The tennis prices are reasonable, $20 to play a match they'll set up for you and $ 30 to participate in a clinic. I didn't golf but there are several courses in the area however greens fees are fairly steep - at least $120 if you're staying locally. This resort is quiet, serene, and near beach front. The staff are very accommodating. WIFI worked perfect. For the only issue I had, an icemaker that wasn't turned on, someone came over to correct the issue within 10 min. I highly recommend this resort!

Safe and ConvenientPosted Jun 4, 2014
Cons: Halogen/dimmer lights are too hot in the bathroom...
Pros: I wasn't expecting to find a unit so lavishly decorated, complete with all amenities and facilities. I'm used to staying in hotel rooms, and this was definitely a breath of fresh air. Hot water, a/c, a marvelous view. Cons: I got assigned to unit on the second floor. I'm just glad I only brought one big luggage with me. Wifi was a little weak though. The whole unit is carpeted, so it means, even with regular maintenance, there will still be dirt and bacteria thriving in it. I also stepped on something hard on some areas. There were no slippers, so I'd keep in mind to bring my own next time I book here. All in all, my stay was very comfortable. The cons are bearable and are outweighed by the pros.

This place is bigger than my one bedroom apartment back home. Very spacious, nice location. I watched the sunset on my lanai, what a treat. I will definitely be back to this location again. In fact, I'm already planning my next trip!

Nice Resort Great LocationPosted Apr 24, 2014 on Hotels.com
2nd trip to Maui for golf, 1st stay with this condo resort. One bedroom, two bath privately owned condo showing it's age. Everything was clean on arrival, however this older unit was in need of updates and renovations. Appliances were the only new thing in the unit, bathrooms, flooring and furniture were older and in need to upgrades (70's anyone...). Great location, on ground floor with views of ocean and golf course. Very quiet area, security present in evening. Concierge was very helpful and friendly, obtained some very good rates for golf.
