Relaxing and EnjoyablePosted Jan 24, 2015
Pros: Beautiful and well maintained grounds, several pool options, friendly staff, boardwalk along ocean, the ability to visit other Westin's in the area
Cons: Studio unit kitchen was a bit small and no lanai. We stayed in the south towers but I understand the north towers have larger frig and lanai.
Location: Great location; all our favorite happy hours nearby - Maui Brewing Co, Duke's, Betty's, and Cool Cat Café.
Very restful and enjoyable holiday. Well maintain facility, hotel staff was always cleaning. Studio unit was a bit small so spent most of our time relaxing in several areas on the grounds from very early morning coffee time in the rocking chairs overlooking the garden/pool to nightly sunsets near the ocean with champagne.

Large property, lots if pool choices! One just for kids, one for adults, a slide and so many water things!!! Great happy hour at both pool bars, win!! The room was beyond clean! Hotel has fantastic complimentary shuttle that will take you to front street, whalers village, it pretty great! Staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgable.

Great resortPosted Jan 23, 2015
Cons: The beach was great (sandy, clean), but there were rocks relatively close by. With high surf, strong undertow and quick drop-off, beach was off for me
Location: Snorkeling (Napili Beach, Catamaran trip). Drive around the north part of the island (interesting, but gets treacherous!), Lahaina stores/restaurants.
We planned this trip at the last minute. The resort was excellent. Concierges (Leslie and Angel) were very helpful with arranging off-site trips. It was great having the shuttle bus service to take trips into Lahaina - all the drivers were friendly, helpful and courteous. I can't say enough about the staff - excellent, excellent, excellent. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone wanting a nice relaxing vacation

Great hotel. We enjoyed all the amenitiesPosted Jan 23, 2015
The room was very nice with a complete kitchenette. This helped keep our costs down and allowed us to take advantage of the resorts amenities. The outdoor grills were great and a nice feature. The Beautiful beach was amazing filed with people enjoying the day and snorkelling. To sum it up, my favourite vacation destination yet. Thank you

Great LocationPosted Jan 22, 2015
Cons: Clean bathrooms- re-grout and seal.
Went to Maui and stayed at hotel to experience whale watching and attend the Hyundai Tournament of Champions at Kapalua. Hotel is close to the course. Hotel grounds are beautiful, all eateries were great. Fun sports bar with lots of TV's. They need to pay attention to detail in rooms. Grout in bathrooms needs cleaned etc. We payed for an ocean view room which we received but, NO BALCONY. Just a step out the size of your shoe. The result is you can look at the ocean from your room but, can't sit on balcony and enjoy. I would stay at this hotel again.

Beachfront hotel, mauiPosted Jan 11, 2015
Good for families with kids. Not ideal for couples. Overall a nice property, beautiful location. Staff mostly nice. Housekeeping terrible. There was dust everywhere in the room and hair on the bathroom floor when we checked in. It was still there after they "cleaned" our room the next day and didn't pick up any trash, yuck! The room decor is pretty outdated and some items were dirty. On the positive side, We had an ocean front room, which had a gorgeous view, can't beat that! Overall enjoyed our stay

Just okayPosted Jan 6, 2015
Loved the comfortable, clean, and well appointed rooms. Beds were wonderful. The "just okay" part: -Lots of very young kids (babies, toddlers, preschool). Couples would not enjoy this resort. -Not enough lounge chairs, all reserved by 9am!! The resort needs to just remove towels. -Not a great location, on the very north side of Kaanapali. You can't easily walk to lots restaurants along the beach walk. If you stay further south, you have better access walking to whalers village and more restaurants. (You can walk to Dukes from this resort -- which I recommend.) -Beach fairly narrow. They wouldn't even put lounge chairs out on the beach while we were there, as there wasn't enough space, and they were worried they would be washed away. Very disappointing for a stay at this price point. (Especially with the pool lounge chairs all taken!) Great beach at the Marriott Ocean Club or the Westin hotel. -My "ocean view" room was a first floor pool view, right on the walkway. Ocean view was a stretch. We never used the patio, or even opened the drapes due to privacy concerns being on the walkway. Would have preferred a garden view to the room we got.
