Excellent hotel, steps from beach, plenty of poolsPosted Nov 23, 2013
Pros: I liked everything... the ambiance, the smell of their signature "White Tea" infusing the air, the pools, and location to beach (just steps away).
Cons: The AC turns off when the doors open. When we cooked, the smells tended to stay in room, even when we open the doors because the fans turn off.
Location: On the fabulous (and best) West side of island, shuttle to Whalers Village/Lahaina. Great snorkeling right by hotel. Rent Scooters nearby (must do)
Overall wonderful vacation was highlighted by the accomodations at the Westin. No surprises here, everything of exceptional quality, cleanliness and the service was amazing. The staff at this Westin was very friendly and helpful. The 'Heavenly" bed was heavenly indeed, easy to sink into after a long day. Jacuzzi tubs, kitchen, spacious bath with stand alone shower, everything you need and all the luxuries with it. Rates through Expedia were a fraction of the hotel's regular rates. Made it all the better!

I loved this hotel!Posted Nov 18, 2013
We had a 1br suite with a full kitchen. The bedroom was really helpful so our 2yr old could go to sleep without being disturbed. The hotel is really nicely appointed, great restaurants, pools. location etc. It was a bit pricier to have the bedroom and kitchen but in my opinion well worth it.

Wonderful hotel close to the beachPosted Oct 30, 2013
We had a wonderful time here. Lots of pools to choose from. Beach access was great. We even got to see a sea turtle while snorkeling in front of the hotel.

A very nice, clean hotel. Our room was very quite. It was very nice to have a full kitchenette. I would recommend it to anyone.

Great overall hotel throughout.Posted Oct 4, 2013
Clean room, luxurious. Amenities were sufficient and good. Good for families with kids as the resort has multiple pools. We tried to avoid the northern most pool as it was by the sports bar and grill which got somewhat crowded at night and loud compared to the other pools.

Perfect for familiesPosted Sep 13, 2013
Pros: The resort, as a whole, is breathtaking. The views to the ocean are beautiful. It is clean and the staff are easily accessible.
Cons: Knowing before-hand if I am paying for an ocean front room -- that I am in fact able to SEE the ocean. It was a sad disappointment to not have that.
Location: PERFECT location! Just a short walk to Black Rock and Kaanapali beach. Short drive to Napili & Kapalua. Beautiful, scenic mountains in the backdrop.
This is probably the best resort we've stayed at in Maui. The pool is fabulous (the main pool with the water slide). The staff here are very accommodating and friendly. We stayed in an Ocean Front Studio Villa -- and although our "ocean front" was obscured by trees, it was still a nice stay. The studio villa is a tight squeeze for a family of 5, but we all fit and the pull out couch bed was pretty comfy. I would definitely stay here again!

Great for families with little kidsPosted Sep 3, 2013
Cons: Make the drinks at the bar stronger! They aren't cheap, so they should at least be strong. However, this is typical of virtually all resorts.
Location: Great touristy resort location near a bunch of other resorts, Lahaina and all its shops and restaurants, numerous golf courses a short drive away, etc
We loved this resort. It is a beautiful property in an excellent location. I'd particularly recommend this property to families with kids. Although it is plenty adult oriented, there are features that are very kid friendly. In particular, the pirate ship pool is excellent for toddlers, which is a great feature since so many activities on Maui really aren't toddler friendly. It gives the little ones something fun to do. I have never seen my 1-1/2 year old son have so much fun. The pool is shallow everywhere, so you can let your toddler run wild (although you still have to stay very close by for water safety, but at least you don't have to hold them the whole time like in a deeper pool), giving them a sense of independence while they go nuts. My son's first words after waking up every morning were "pool, pool, pool, pool..." I am not kidding. He was obsessed. There is also a nice beach right in front of the resort that has pretty good snorkeling. Based on a limited sample size, I actually saw way more sea life (in quantity and variety) in front of the resort than I did when I made the trek down to the more famous Sheraton Black Rock snorkeling area (which is also pretty close to this resort if you want some variety).
