"Perfectly updated"
Simple check in. Rooms are in blocks of 4,well separated, and staff bringso your bags the moderate trip to your room. Staff friendly and helpful. Rooms are now very luxurious, a major change from our last stay. Large rooms are really suites, and have a separate living room with a kitchenette. Rehabilitated pool area also excellent with fans in cabanas. High quality but expensive restaurant on site. Great visit and value.

"Worth the stay!"
At first, we didn't like our room, but Kyle (MOD) was very very helpful and upgraded us to a 2bd, 2b suite with ocean view. This made the Trip! We would never have spent as much time at the facility or at Duke's (restaurant) if we didn't have a better room location. This made the difference for an excellent stay. Food at Duke's is very good and reasonable expense. We ate there 5 of the 7 nights and had lunches and snacks too. Conceirge was informative. We took a glass bottom boat ride and deep sea fishing charter (no fish for 6 hrs though :( The only negative, and i know this is nickpicking, is the over zealousness of the staff trying to put a wristband on you. I'm not sure how prealent it is for other people not staying at the hotel to use the pool (which is amazing!), but it was a tad of a nuisance. Overall, you will be happy with your stay, service, and condition of this hotel. Mahalo. scott & suzanne, Denver

"Nice and safe quite atmosphere close to things."
When I book my condo I was shown a picture of a loft which is a one bed room and sofa bed and nice kitchen . I had the impression that that was the room we were staying . I brag about it to my co - workers and even wanted to go to Hawaii for vacation next time. To my surprised I have a one bed room one sofa bed but one floor . No stairs like what the picture look like. I was told by the information desk that the loft cost more money and that Expedia wasn't supposed to tell us that that was the particular room we are staying . It misleaded us . But I did not mine the room we were at . It's just I fell in love with loft that I was told is the price I paid. But thanks anyway my family have a great time . I will still book with expedia again.

"Peaceful stay at the ocean"
This was the third time we have stayed at this hotel. It has recently changed management and we can see the difference. The staff is friendlier and the grounds and rooms seem to have been upgraded, or better maintained. We love the fact that because of the buildings age, the windows go floor to ceiling and edge to edge - new building codes don't allow solid walls of glass anymore and the closeness of the ocean. On the higher floors, you cannot even see people because of the unobstructed, close to the coast view. Because there is no real "beach", there is not a lot of noisy activity under your room. Don't stay here if you want resort amenities - but do if you want a quiet, peaceful, beautiful view, away from the madness of Lahaina, but close to everything. It is inexpensive compared to other hotels, but really, that's not why we stay here!

"Great hotel in a great location on Maui."
Very well maintained property. Higher end furinishings used in the room and throughout the property. Service was very good and the staff was were always friendly and helpful. The Fairmont is not a huge property, which for us was a plus. You can walk to the beach from your in just a few minutes. The Fairmont has their own private beach and it is beautiful! The pools are well maintained. We traveled in September and had no trouble getting chairs by the pool or beachside. However, I can imagine it being more of a challenge in the prime summer season. The food was good, but I recommend eating off site as there a lot of great places to try within a short driving distance, and at a better price point. The hotel offers valet or self parking options. Self parking is included with the resort fee of $30 per day. Valet is an extra of about $25 per day on top of that.
