"Wonderful hotel"
We had a room with ocean view and it did not disappoint. The view from our room was awesome! Beds could have been a little softer for me but for most would be very adequate. Room service was very good..we paid for valet parking and were very satisfied with that. Thought the food was overly priced and not that good in the hotel's restaurant so we ended up eating off property. But over all, I would highly recommend this hotel. Nice and clean, all personnel were extremely friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay there again.

"An oasis of peace and beauty!"
Chosen as an overnight stay during a trip to experience "The Road to Hana", it was a wonderful, peaceful interlude. Hotel location and careful attention to detail and upkeep is outstanding. Dinner was first class. Staff are friendly and attentive ..... never in these circumstances have we ever received genuine hugs! While we shall have to save for a while, we now have the ambition to return for a "proper" vacation rather than a simple overnight stay.

"Great hotel awesome view and beach"
Had so much fun and lots to do! The beach is amazing and the staff is very helpful. Very clean resort and beach...the food and drinks are expensive but it's expected on a resort in Maui. A short distance away is an outlet mall with tons of shops and restaurants to check out. I will be coming back again!!

"Perfect Location!"
Great hotel with the perfect location! The Westin is right on the beach and next door to Whalers Village as well as couple of restaurants on the beach. The free-shuttle service (around town and most attractions) is convenient and a cost saver for those not wanting to rent a car. There is no free shuttle to and from the airport though as it's about a 45 min to an hour drive away from the airport. It's a great drive though, very scenic and most drivers will give you an educated tour on the way to the hotel. The hotel itself is comfortable and pleasant with fantastic views. Some of the best cocktails (Relish It) I have ever had;)

"Great family vacation."
The hotel is big with beautiful gardens, views, and beach front. It is not the newest, but it is comfortable and really clean. The staff is so nice and friendly. we included breakfast buffet with our booking, and it saved us money. The rooms had a small fridge, and the microwave is $25 per day by request. Our daughter loved feeding the fish everyday with the food given by the hotel staff in a little bag. They also have free valet parking, and free car service if going around Wailea-Makena. They gave us a ride to the Four Season and told us to call when we were done for pick up. The food could be improved for the pool menu and room service. The balconies echo voices, so people can hear eachother. So, it is not a place for young partiers. They have free bikes, and rentals for snorkeling, kayaking, beach umbrellas, etc. Overall, we had a great time and will recommend it for a relaxing vacation.

"overall nice hotel be prepared to spend money"
Pool was nothing great. Adult pool nice but a bit small. Everything food wise is expensive. Be prepared to pay but all hotels in this area are that way. Need a car to get around. Beach was nice but small. Would stay in condo for more value but if money isn't in question then it works.

"Great Spot for Relaxation, Just Get A Good Room "
I booked a 1-week stay in an Ocean View 1-bd Suite. Initially, I was assigned a room in the Aloha building (same bldg as the lobby). This room did not look like the room photos posted on the site - instead of being modern, it was more tiki-kitsch. This, I would not mind so much if I were staying for only a night or two, or had planned to be out of my room most of the day. However, the bad part was that it was shoddy all around, and my "separate sleeping area" was an adjoining suite with 2 single beds (I was there by myself), and was expecting a king or queen in the bedroom, more in line with the description given on the hotel site. Given the price I was paying, I also expected a quality more along the lines of what the website shows. Thankfully, after voicing my concerns, the hotel staff was super accommodating in switching my room to one that they let me choose. They also honored my deal (7th night free) and cut me a deal on what turned out to be an upgrade from Ocean View to Ocean Front. The room I wound up with was awesome!

Fabulous hotel with lovely grounds and facilities, ideal for both couples and families. Snorkelling was straight off the beach and was safe even for my children (5 & 9). We thought it was far better here than at Black Rock! Kids loved the pirateship play pool. The room (ours was an ocean view Studio) was spotlessly clean and comfortable. The only negatives for us were that our fifth floor ocean view was obstructed by palm trees so we couldn't see much 'ocean' and also the 'lanai' was not big enough for a chair so could not sit outside on the balcony. Location was great, shuttle to Whalers village and Lahaina was excellent. One evening we walked next door to the neighbouring property for dinner at Castaways Cafe, no frills food but nice to sit and watch the sunset and a very relaxed atmosphere.

Stop and stay a while in Hana

Hana is a charming small town, much more than just a pit stop along the way to the towering high-rise resorts in the west. Stop and stay a while in Hana, and experience the authentic Aloha spirit. Rise with the sun for a majestic view of it over the water, kayak through coral reefs, and indulge in chocolate-covered macadamia nuts at the quaint Hasegawa General Store. Hana is an understated somewhat secret Hawaiian spot offering a peaceful and serene getaway.
