Good hotel and spa facilities. Food was excellent in the restaurants. We were half board and think All Inclusive would not be worth the extra money. Difficult to book excursions though the hotel. You needed to book with travel reps that turned up between 10/12 each day (not Sundays). No help from hotel guest services or concierge. Book a table was difficult, you needed to book at least two 2 days in advance. Limited covers per night at all restaurants other than the buffett. Nice that the pool was also right near the beach. Good activities by the beach. Arranged outside of hotel scope. Hear for a fly and flop. Unlikely to visit again, but overall a good holiday.

Property in general was ok, however level of service offered for a 5 star was not accepted. From the day we arrived and from the room prep and dining options the service was very slow and not to the level of a 5 star what we paid for. Hotel is fully aware of my feelings and offered me a refund for extra however, this was meant to be an auspicious occasion for our anniversary and I am not happy with Expedia for the hotel marketing and the Sun resorts for the experience we received.

We liked the overall area, everything was well kept (plants, paths, etc.). All staff was kind and friendly. Kids club was a big plus for families with children, having a friendly staff also to kids who do not understand EN/FR. Overall good catering except for the ice cream that could be better. What disappointed us a bit were the locations within the area with a very poor or no wi-fi signal, even at the pool, as well as a lack of sunbeds near the pool and on the beach. If you do not wake up early enough, you probably won´t find a vacant sunbed anymore during the day. But on the whole we enjoyed the stay there.

We had an amazing holiday at Long Beach. Excellent facilities and activities for the entire family. Only downside was the high cost of meals and drinks but otherwise everything else was great. Higly recommend this resort for families.

Stay away from this hotel! We had a terrible experience there and I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay there. We stayed there for 4 nights, on our last night, when organizing our stuff before the flight we found out that someone was picking our things and took 150$ out of 500$ we had (probably didn’t take all the money because they hoped we wouldn’t notice), when reporting the guest relations and reception they didn’t seem to be surprised and didn’t really do anything about it, only promised they will investigate it. Obviously it wouldn’t help us and we won’t get our money back and not only that, when checking out- we found out some extra charges we didn’t have (also here probably there are people that don’t check their bill and pay things they shouldn’t!) and they didn’t even apologized on it and requested us to pay the money! I would expect them to not charge us for 120$ of charges we had in order to make us to feel a little bit better after this terrible experience of knowing that the someone of the hotel staff got inside our room and picked our personal stuff! Shame on you and hope other guests will be aware that there are thieves walking between them, whatcha your stuff carefully! The location of the hotel is great but there are other hotels that self-respect theirselves and wouldn’t allow their guests to leave with such a bad feeling and aggravation.

Fantastic facilities! Loved the great entertainment that was every night. Lovely lounge areas to relax. Best Spa massages!! We even went back whilst staying at another 5 star hotel as they were so good. The only downside was the lack of snack options I between 3-6pm ish but we found this at most hotels. The beach was a bit windy but it was their winter so expect that on the east coast further north. Otherwise great stay!!

Excellent stay
My husband and I just returned from Long Beach for a week to celebrate my birthday. I can't say enough great things about this resort and it's staff. Additionally, the food was excellent with so much choice at the main restaurant - a different themed buffet experience every night - plus 4 other restaurants to choose from (Chinese, Japanese, Italian and Seafood). We had a half board package with breakfast and dinner included which was just right for us. The breakfast is excellent with so many hot and cold choices, pastries, fruit - you name it, it is there. Our suit was oceanfront and we had a gorgeous view and a nearly private beach (near "Sun Beach") as many of the other guests spent time at the larger main stretch of beach. It was so peaceful listening to the waves crash from our terrace every morning and in the evening. This is exactly what I had hoped for, for the holiday - relaxation, beach and great food. A number of staff members made our time very special (Kiran, Tony, Feena, Keebo, Youshah, etc.) but everyone is very dedicated to making guests feel welcome. When staff members heard it was a birthday trip, they had all kinds of little surprises planned for me throughout the day. (I don't want to spoil the surprises in case other visitors celebrate a birthday while there so I won't include any details. :D ) It was amazing! It's very rare that my husband gives a 5 star rating but he agreed that Long Beach deserves it too. We couldn't have asked for more.

Poor services, not 5 star standard. Staff are not friendly or helpful. Breakfast terrible...poor quality, stale items, poorly prepared. Rooms were not cleaned properly. Unable to contact receiption, concierge or the restaurant...phones just left to ring. Not all restaurant are open every night or told that they are fully booked....which makes dinner options very limited. Hotel very out dated....needs a upgrade. Very disappointed with this hotel... they are more 3 star standards.

Relaxing and enjoyable time at Long Beach
Just returned from 8 nights at Long Beach which we throughly enjoyed. We had a Junior Suite which was very spacious, comfortable and well positioned. It wasn't the closest room to the beach or pool (still only a 2 minute walk tops) but close to the restaurants and bars. Couldn't fault the buffet food and throughly enjoyed the restaurants, Sapori in particular. With regards to drinks the only slight criticism I have was the limited mocktail menu (I'm pregnant) so some other variations would have been nice. There are only so many Virgin Mojito's you can drink in a day ;) Staff very helpful, approachable and chatty. Reception team were very helpful with some of our stranger requests and we had some great waiters/waitresses in Sapori, in particular a big shout out to Davidson and his team, they made our last evening meal one to remember (Thanks again guys!!).

*positive: - Free Wifi all over the hotel -variety of restaurant , and quality for the chinese & japanese resartant is good -nice pool. -helpful staff *Negative: -Check - In process is very slow ( 1 person serving three new arrivals !!). The check in took more than 20 min. - The given room was not as requested. After having a long discussion with the management , the manager has offered be an upgrade in a return . However, the upgraded room was the same room which i have originally reserve , so it was not an actual upgrade. -Food quality for the breakfast needs improvement -The restaurant next the pool closes sometime in the afternoon

Great Hotel let down by staff
Well laid out resort hotel with some very nice features - great pool area. The staff, unfortunately, let the hotel down. While there were some instances of good service, on average they were slow and unhelpful - particularly at check-in and check-out.

Had a amazing holiday, hotel and staff amamzing . But please be aware drinks are 3 times more expensive , taxis are connected to hotel they to are 3 times more expensive than locals are charged can work out to Port Louis 50-60 pound . There are restaurants in hotel but you can be charged extra for popular foods i.e., spring rolls in the Chinese , Some foods in the Italian are the same I would say eat in the Buffet food is above and beyond amazing cannot fault it has a different theme with loads of choice .. I would say this really is a beach holiday .
