“Great Mazatlawn Old town location”

We live in Puerto Vallarta and drive from Seattle through Mazatlan. When we stay overnight we enjoy the old town area because it is close the the square and we enjoy the area. We have stayed at the Hotel Posada Freeman twice and have found the beds and rooms comfortable, the staff friendly and there is parking. I would not stay here if I was looking for a week just laying on the beach only because the beaches at this end of town are not that great. It is a good stop for a couple of days in Mazatlan before taking the ferry or moving on to other adventures.

“Great hotel & loved the location”

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel . We had a junior sutie that overlooked the beach so could sit on the balcony morning and evening and watch the sunset. The rooftop pool was also quiet and in a spectacular setting. The staff could not have been nicer or more accomodating and spoke English which was really helpful. The breakfast that was included was great & we noticed that it was also a favorite place for may locals which is always a good sign! In terms of location it is very close to the old town, which was much more preferable then that north end of Mazatlan whicih is very touristy. There is a bank next door and a couple of great restaurants and a great coffee shop. Fantastic all round! We would certainly go back.

“Fun family time”

Overall stay was Great! Friendly employees, safe and close to downtown location. Need to improve the pool area and a shower outside hotel for people coming from swimming at the beach in front of hotel.

“Best view in Mazatlan”

I requested, and received, a ocean front room. The view from these rooms are the BEST in all of Mazatlan! For me, this magnificent view and the dedication of the staff to meet all of their guests' needs means that I would be likely to recommend this hotel to friends. However, this is an old property where electricity, telephones, etc. are constantly having to be repaired. The staff, however, works mightily to make things right for their guests. If you are someone who wants a modern, sanitized hotel experience this is not the place for you. If you want a more "authentic" experience with a responsive staff and jaw dropping view then you would enjoy this accommodation.
