Great hotel!Posted Nov 22, 2013
I have stayed at several hotels in Mazatlan and the El Cid Marina is my favorite. It is newer and the food and staff are great. The hotel has no beach, but does have two nice pools (have a water taxi to a beach). They have a free shuttle to the El Cid Morro, so being a little north of the town works out fine. I'll be back.

Home away from homePosted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: It's right on the beach! Perfect sunset spot! This property has several buildings of accommodation, giving it a 'private villa' feel. Feeling rich! :)
Cons: The stairs outside Front Desk are hard to see at night. Paint lighter colour on top or corner of stairs for easier visibility when it gets dark out.
Location: Location is close to the golden zone. Shuttle to other prooperties is quick. Taxi to downtown, malacon, and other tourist sites is very inexpensive.
I work for Four Season Hotels and Resorts which is a service and people oriented company. Naturally high expectations are often not met when going to a hotel or restaurant - El Cid Marina met them all! The property and rooms were well maintained and looked after. The food was fresh and delicious! Perfectly prepared! The service at this hotel was outstanding! Every interaction with staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful; part of their family. This made my first time to Mexico my best vacation! Even the tour bus company the hotel uses for the City Tour was exceptional! (My boyfriend proposed on the tour bus!) We had so much fun, we are planning our next trip back with our 2 girls! Fabulous food, private beach, great staff,... oh my! Hasta luego! xxoo

Pros: Great room, service and location
Cons: Restauarnt food good, not great.
Location: Good snorkeling on the Deer Island excursion.
Helpful front desk staff, rapid free shuttle service to sister hotels with different pool/beach acces. Easy place to stay as a single mom with 2 12 year olds, lots to do, felt safe having boys on their own within the resort.

Hotel needs some remodeling.Posted Aug 14, 2013
Cons: rooms could be updated
Hotel is just OK only has one restaurant and the food is very average. One of the pools has shiny tile which makes the floor very slippery

The kids loved the pool and slides. The waiters in the pool area are awesome !! Great service. The food in the snack bars around the pool are also very good. Good variety and good quality. Overall it was a very nice trip.

Magical el CID Marina hotel.Posted Apr 25, 2013
Location: At the Pacific entrance
This is a wonderful venue from which to launch your stay in magical Mazatlan.overlooking a marina at the opening of the channel entrance from the Pacific. The staff is truly exceptionally versed in welcoming guests and meeting every need when possible. The grounds are in a constant state of upkeep. The location is perfect for strolling into the city or using the courtesy vans to go from one location to another. Children have many amenities..a play ground ,heated or non heated pools for adults as well, large hot tub or a mini ferry to the never ending beach... There are tours available, fishing charters,a doctor in house..etc etc. Different dining venues abound...or have yours I of eating places close by. The management is receptive to your every need.

More than I expectedPosted Apr 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Wonderful experience all the way around. Beautiful roomy deck to entertain our friends overlooking the Marina and pool. Clean upscale environment with room to spare. The only thing I might change would be softer pillows. Loved it.

Relaxing & welcomePosted Apr 15, 2013
Pros: the dining room @ El Sds Marina we went spent every breakfast at.
Cons: . asking to sign up for a breakfast presentation for us to take tours Promise us she would arrange for the hotls shuttle to take us to the airport
Location: El Sid Marina
Had a wonderful time . Our week seemed longer than the 7 days we spent their. Our stay was so relaxing & the staff made our stay very comfortable due to them going out of their way to make us feel welcome & they had a family like & friendly quality which again made us feel welcome. The only dissapointment was when we were approached to sign up for a breakfast presentaion for tours & when we didn't attend we wer comfronted about this & told she if we would have gotten credit for us going & she didn't!! Very unfroffesional & had a badgering like quality

Pleasant GetawayPosted Apr 5, 2013
Pros: Low key atmosphere.
Cons: Not impressed with main resturant.
Location: Nice to be away for the crowds but a long trip to city center.
Great location away from a lot of the traffic. Nice rooms, pleasant staff, great drinks. Easy access to beach and tour boats.
