“Family vacation”
I felt the Marina El Cid was an excellent place to stay on our vacation. The room was clean. The staff was very friendly and made sure our every need was met. whether it was breakfast in the beautiful dining room overlooking the marina the staff made every effort to meet our needs. Although we only had breakfast in the dining room the food was well prepared and everything was very clean. We especially enjoyed the ease in taking advantage of the many tours available through the El Cid. Whether it was fishing (we caught nothing but had the momentary thrill of hooking a marlin), the catamaran to the beach or the jungle tour all were well organized, arrived on time and were fun! We had a great time!
“great trip booked at El Cid, Mazatlan through expedia”
The total booking to upgraded room to friendly and comfortable stay I atributeto the Hotel and booking buy expedia! Thanks and I'll be back!!
“Beautiful Hotel, Beautiful Location”
A great place to stay for couples and families looking for a relaxing, yet fun getaway. Everything about the hotel is beautiful, and it is just a 5 minute cab ride to exciting nightlife as well.
“El cid marina September 2009”
Everything is perfect here, excellent food and service, the only drawback was a bit of wet floor in the bathroom when we arrived
“Loved it!”
We have a great time, totally relaxing. It was perfect timing for us, mid May, when everything was quiet and the pool was nearly empty. Will definitely be back next year! We loved everything about the hotel except for the main restaurant. Very expensive and mediocre food. But all units have a kitchen, and we ate in quite a bit.
“Mazatlan in early April”
If I were going back to Mazatlan, I would definitely stay here again. I think there are only maybe two other places I would even consider staying at. The pools were great and the private beach was much better than what the rest of the hotel strip has access too. We had awesome waves for boogy boarding and the weather was perfect the entire trip.
“Charming Village at the Marina”
Our stay at the El Cid Marina property was a happy one. All balconies overlook the beautiful Marina. The whole complex has the appearance of a Mediterranean village. The rooms were nicely appointed with utilitarian kitchenettes and a separate seating area that we adored for reading/dozing in the afternoons. We were a bit mis-led by the information before we arrived which implied that the hotel is right on the beach. You have to take a short, free water taxi ride to reach the beach proper. We had reserved a king bed and were given a two bed room. In exchange for this minor gaffe we were given breakfast every day of our stay gratis. Make sure you take the shuttle to the other El Cid properties in town to avoid high taxi costs in getting to the shopping /dining areas. The staff in the La Marina restaurant were delightful. All in all a wonderful stay.
“Can't wait to go back”
Great clean room with a beautiful view. Grounds and pools were wonderful. Relaxing with friendly staff and guests. Food was always delicious and nicely presented. Laid back attitude perfect for an early spring get-away. I'll be back!
“Lots of room--pleasant stay”
Great place on the Marina! Had a 1 bedroom which was very nice cause of all the space. Good service and the restaurant there has very good food. North of Golden Zone means its quieter than other hotels--fewer spring breakers. Some rooms can see the ocean and the marina but they do have an ocean beach area if you prefer on other side of the marina. Fun to watch the fishermen come back in the afternoon to see what was caught (or not caught). Games at poolside available w/prizes given to the winner.
“Fantastic Hotel, My new home away from home”
El Cid Marina is the ultimate resort hotel to stay at. From the Porter driving us to our room, the private beach, the delicious breakfast buffet, beautiful marina view and ocean view, my wife and myself had the most wonderful time. The spacious one bedroom suite room was everything we look for in a quality hotel. Overall service was the best I have had in the 17 years of traveling I do for business and leisure. The amenities allow you to never leave the resort but when you do, the shuttle bus to/from each of the four El Cid properties every 15 minutes makes going into town a breeze (no taxi fares). Additionally this is a great place to take the kids, but we are really glad we went without them this trip so we could enjoy the night life, they will definitely come next time. Overall superior management, service, room, amenities and food/drinks (we ate at all three El Cid's)made this just the most enjoyable and relaxing trip.
