“There are better option.”

The location is good, but definetely no the best one for spending the day at the beach. Although it has been completely restored, the rooms are not that comfy and clean. Check other options before.

“Great Hotel for the money”

Regardless no king size beds where available and there was no bath tubs in any rooms (like explained in the room description) the stay was very satisfying. The rooms were very clean and nice, the beds comfortable and the lobby as well as the pool area and the restaurant were always clean. the staff is very friendly and helpful. The location was great, you have a McDonalds literally across the street as well as a couple seafood restaurants and a Night club a couple feet away. Overall the stay was nice, i would definately recomend it.

Area recommendations
The Zona Dorada is very nice, its basically the tourist area but yet very pricey. When shopping for souveniers i recomend 'el mercado'. You'll need to take a taxi or a pulmonia to get there for its about 8 miles from the hotel. I also recomend the trip to the rock island which is about 45 mins from the hotel, you will need to reserve the trip in advance. but be carefull who you make a deal with, preferably go to the trip advisor accross the street or have the receptionist help you reserve it.

“Not The Esperience I was expecting”

King bed requested was not available - the hotel only has 1 standard room with a King bed - I needed to update to a suite to have a king bed - almost doubeling my room rate. Air conditioning did not work - although hotel staff advised us it was working at full capacity. No wash cloths - only 2 shower towels When asked about ice, was told by front desk I needed to go to neighboring convience store to buy ice. No ice bucket was available. Toilet leaked at floor (hotel repaired timely). Sink hot water spiket did not work (hotel never corrected problem). Hotel location is good - close to beach walk and golden zone

Area recommendations
Golden Zone or Nueve Mazatlan - cheap cab or bus ride to downtown

“I liked it a lot”

If the staff checks on quality issues, there would always be towels for the pool, not having a remote control in the room is a very basic issue. Oterwise I loved the hotel.

“Great place to visit”

The hotel has a great design (for those who appreciate architecture). Two pools and a hot tub for those who don't want to be bothered on the beach. The sunset views of Wolf Island and Deer Island are amazing. The food at the hotel is good and reasonably priced. You can't beat the outdoor seating. I live in the mountains and absolutely loved opening the sliding doors and falling asleep to the waves.

Traveler's tip
Stay in the "Golden Zone". There are plenty of really great restaurants. The seafood is amazing. Los Margaritas seafood platter is a must try.

“Wait until the remodel is done...”

I've stayed at several hotels in Mazatlan and this one was on the low end of the scale. Granted, they are in the middle of a large remodel and kept the place immaculate considering that, I felt that the hotels on either side of it, at roughly the same price, we by far the nicer/better values. Staff was helpful and courteous. Beach was perfect.

Traveler's tip
there is a pair of taco stands/restaurants about a block away from the hotel. The owner of one is Constancio, who cooks, his wife takes the money and his daughters serve. Taxis, pulmonias and truck drivers all stop to eat there. Best value, high quality, pretty cheap and completely authentic. Five can eat for $20. (with cerveza)

“Terrible customer service”

The place is under construction and there is only one bar/resturant. We tried to talk to a manager and were told repeatedly throughout our trip that there was not one available which was untrue. Finally when we were about to leave one magically appeared. There is no way to relax by the pool with all of the construction noise and in your room, unless your ac is running, you can hear everything on the street, clubs and your neighbors. The all inclusive is a joke and gives you only the cheapest options and have time restricions as well. The majority of the staff is rude and ignored us unless we asked for something. We will never stay there again!!

Traveler's tip
There are a ton of little shops but look around before you buy cause most have all the same type of things and some will lower prices much more easily than others. Gringo Lingo is on the same street and had fantastic service!!
