After staying at the palms for three nights our second part of our vacation was a pueblo bonito. I was very impressed by the cleanliness of this place compared to the palms. Everything was good, the food , the pool and the beach. The only thing that I didn't like was the time share presenters. They should tell us before hand that after our first presentation that they are going to set us up with a second presenter. If I said I'm not interested in the timeshare why would I say yes to the second presenter. This guy was rude just because we didn't wang to join their pueblo amigo passport. Overall it was a nice hotel.

From the moment we arrived at the resort, we loved it. I can't say enough about the staff and their customer service skills. The resort is stunning from every view. The beach runs for miles and all of the expected luxuries are readily accessible. The resort is huge and remotely located on over 800 acres and access protected be a security gate. It's like being in a gated community which put us in an extra relaxed state. Though there was only one restaurant - we can't complain about the food - it's well prepared and sizable portions. The rooms are very nicely designed and our ocean view from the balcony was breath taking. The room's restroom was large with double sinks, a private toilet, a stand-up shower and separate tub. Our room had a mini-frig, coffee maker, iron and ironing board, a valuables safe, cable TV and good wi-fi reception. The pools, spa & salon were also nice.
As I mentioned the resort is over 800 acres but there is only one restaurant and no shopping - that includes a souvenir shop. The hotel provided us a shuttle into the city to shop but the city isn't close by and they don't wait for you - they return for you. None of the boat tours pick-up from the the resort beach so you also need to get a shuttle to the city to take advantage of those things. While the cleaning staff were excellent, there were insects in the sinks regularly. We weren't sure if that was a pest control issue or a Mazatlan issue but they didn't keep us from enjoying our stay.

A feel of new. A feel of the old. Not to big. Not to small. Rooms are great. Staff is outstanding. Food is great. Location is super nice. Beach is the best in Mazatlan. Just a great place to stay whether you are with your family or your sweety. I highly recommend.

I recently stayed at an enormous resort in Playa del Carmen that was so big and impersonal. My stay at the Royal Villas was more intimate and friendly. The staff were all so nice...the room was clean and had a beautiful ocean view...I was very impressed. Will definitely be going back!

The staff were very friendly and went out of their way for me
I was upgraded for free to a king size 1 bedroom suite.
The chef at the restaurant cooked some marlin that I had caught in a variety of different ways. It was delicious and he only charged us 80 pesos per person to do this for us.
Overall it was an amazing vacation with a superb hotel.
Definitely recommend the Luna Palace to everyone that goes to Mazatlan.
