We liked the ocean view and the daytime security/doorman was very helpful and funny. He was the best thing about the whole place.

Ive been coming here for years. I love this hotel but I’m getting too old to tolerate the excessive noise inside and outside of the hotel. The hotel is in the perfect location for beach and old town. I could spend hours on the balcony enjoying the ocean views, people on the malecon and the mayhem in the streets. However, when I want to go inside to relax, I can’t as the noise come right through the sliding doors, the walls, and windows. It’s so loud that it seems like the source of the noise is right inside the room. Ear plugs may help some people but I’m out. Thanks for the good memories La Siesta!

Great little hotel with ocean view rooms in Olas Altas, Mazatlán. Just a few blocks from Plaza Machado. No elevator, and not a place to spend quiet time, if that's what you're looking for. On-site bar and restaurant with a nice happy hour. The place has loads of charm and character, but if you're looking for sleek and modern, look elsewhere.

what I liked was the Patio with an open area we stayed in the second floor so the flooring was dangerous for my old mother who fell due to an even wood and carpet.

Well to begin with i was giving a room 2nd floor ,and by the entrance there was 4 bags full of beer cans n trash,disgusting smell ,lots of mosquitos,bathroom humid n smelly,beds old and hard couldnt sleep right,also the pool water was dark n dirty

The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was a convenient location as you could walk to numerous dining locations and there was dining on location. You could also walk right across the street to the beach. I would have liked a refrigerator in my room but that was my fault as I didn't think to ask for one, I don't know if they had it.

We loved Hotel La Siesta. It has a beautiful atrium with a nice restaurant. We ate breakfast there every day. The seaside rooms are amazing! Huge patio doors open to a nice but small balcony so close to the sea wall and ocean. The hotel is in the historic district. I don't think you could get a room any closer to the ocean!

Pros: Great location, clean rooms, accomodating staff, nice doormen/security, good value. Cons: Too noisy to leave side or ocean facing windows/balcony doors open in eve (bldg a/c wasn't working so this became an issue) Side balconies have easy access to each other, & no in-room safe, so not secure to leave window open when you're out. The pool is small, & in close/full view of restaurant diners. Awkward set-up, didn't see anybody use. Wifi worked first 1.5 days, then was patchy at best after that. Would I stay again? Not if I wanted a pool, but probably otherwise depending on which room.

I have stayed at this hotel for every trip I have made to Mazatlan since 2009. I always enjoy to quaint atmosphere of the hotel and the good food available in the area. You are within walking distance to several plaza's and a big market to shop in. The view is great if you reserve an ocean view room but the only problem is the noise coming off the street below. They love to play their radios loud.

The convenience of Hotel to activities, Malecon and Restaurants are excellent. The Staff is excellent! The BEST! Some additional amenities could be added: coffee in room; shampoo/conditioner containers labeled; washcloth size towels. Minor additions.

We really liked the front staff super friendly great customer service...the surroundings are perfect for a walk...the only thing we didn't like this time...was the pool the lady that takes you out so rid she said they do maintenance at night but at the next day pool still was dirty...and the hour they closed it i think its to early.
