“We love Emerald Bay”
We love Emerald Bay and are already making plans to return. Garsh, if only we could just stay there!
“Would stay a year if I could”
This is our 5th time at this resort. We have found an amazing home away from home in Mazatlan and absolutely love it. Forget about a scheduled filled vacation, that sounds a lot like work to us. We've opted for the stress free vegication that this place delivers.
“Great Resort!”
We stayed here for a family wedding. Had a good time. Only downfalls were the lack of reliable wi-fi service and restaurant selection. Loved the pools, servers, and security of the resort.
“Pueblo bonito emerald bay mazatlan”
I have about 5 horror stories. Take my word for it.
“A paradise”
A real paradise, beautiful gardens, the suite was very nice, clean with everything We need, We traveled with 2 teenagers, We all had the best time, the food amaising but a little priced. I recomend it for families, they have a full kitchen but we didn´t used.
“Great paradise. Lots of fun!!!”
Try to find Raul by the pool bar, great drink specials and service.
“Absolute best resort in Mazatlan”
We have traveled to many places, in different contries, and Pueblo Bonito Emerald Bay resort has been one of the nicest by far. The entire layout and architecture is very impressive. The staff is very friendly, and always have a smile to offer. With all the amenities, there is no need to leave the property. Very well equipped and self contained. The beach is beautiful, but too rocky to swim. No real complaints. Definitely would highly recommend everyone to stay in this wonderful private gem.
“not as luxurious as it seems”
The hotel is way out of the way than other hotels in the Golden Zone (i.e. hotel strip) and downtown that makes hard to stay out late at night since taxi could be expensive back to the hotel. Shuttle to/from the other Pueblo Bonito property runs only every hour and ends about 11:45 pm. I have stayed in the same caliber hotels in Asia which is better run and CLEAN. We had to change to another room since the original room's beds were not fixed and the safe was broken. Everytime I had to sit on the sofa, lounge, beach chair, dining chair, etc., I always found it dirty with food scraps or something else. The elevator near my room looks like it was under construction with the amount of dust and paint all over the wall! Because of the size of the hotel, we had to take the golf cart every time we had to go to the hotel resto/lobby. It took us almost always two times to call conceirge before the golf cart showed up! There was a lot of unnecessary waiting. The only up-side is that the drivers were always nice. Don't waste your time with the timeshare presentation if you don't plan to buy. The food was crappy and the wait was very long (again!). You're better off taking the shuttle to the city and getting breakfast/brunch elsewhere. Don't come here unless you own a timeshare or invited by a friend. The surrounding area is still in development (i.e. you are located in the middle of nowhere).Took the paid shuttle back to airport and almost didn't make it to our flight back to SF.
“A great choice for our vacation in Mazatlan”
The facilities are great! The swimming pool is gigantic with breath taking views of the ocean. It is a four star hotel with room, restaurant, swimming pool of a 5 star hotel. The bed was comfortable, which was my biggest worry since some times I have bad luck with 4 star hotels beds. Food is good although a litle expensive specially the drinks. However I was satisfied paying a little more for the comfort and convenience of having a nice resataurant in the hotel. They were offered an upgrade for "all inclusive" meals and drinks. But we did not take it. If you a drinker it is all worthed. Hotel people are friendly, and attentive. I checked the reviews, and ratings of this hotel of prior expedia customers, and based my decision of choosing this hotel for my vacation. So I feel that I need to recommend this hotel to future expedia visitors. My wife had a great time in the SPA. If you choose this hotel, you will not regret it.
“great resort hotel”
This hotel was recommended as the best hotel in Mazatlan by a certain Mexican travel agent who is living in Mazatlan. Actually, it was a great experience for me. The hotel lobby was luxurious and front clerks were personable. The bellboy was also a good talkative guy. Though his words were somewhat explicit, I had already known it is an expression of friendliness for Mexican people, and so I didn’t dislike them. The room was clean and spacious. Also, there are three well-maintained swimming pools. You can also go to beautiful beach in front of the hotel. Hotel restaurants served good foods. The hotel rate was also much less expensive than those of American hotels at the same level. I can confidently recommend this hotel to Mazatlan visitors. But this hotel is still not perfect. Following are the weaknesses of this hotel. This hotel is located at the north end of Mazatlan. So it takes about 25 minutes to go to Mazatlan City. The beds may relatively be small. The toilet did not flush well. Internet was available only in a deli space. Beverages were for unknown reason not cooled till the time of serving and were cooled with ice. So they gassed off soon. Additionally, I was offered all meal plan that included free 3 meals (lunch, dinner, breakfast) at the time of check-in. I accepted it as it seemed money-saving. But after all I didn’t spend more money than I paid. I don’t recommend it unless you are a pig.
