Mazatlans beauty in a downtownPosted Feb 2, 2015
Pros: The waiters and maid staff
Cons: the maintainable we pay for
Location: Fat fish excellent Carlos and Lucia excellent Chili peppers excellent
The beauty of the sun and sand, The hardest working short staff, one waiter for one side of the beach and one side of the pool all by himself, The food was awesome, on the cool side, not hot hot, The plumbing getting old, the toliet running all night, the sink dripping, You get the drift We are owners and they want 80 dollars a day for all inclusive, We got a deal on Expedia, No one can tell us what is happening after our years are up, 2016

InconformidadPosted Jan 16, 2015 on Hotels.com

Perfect Winter BreakPosted Jan 5, 2015
Very quiet in the evenings but lots of adventures once leaving the resort. We found the grounds and pools to be exceptional with fantastic staff. Beach was much better than expected. The only criticism is that the rooms are very tired but the beds were quite comfortable.

Christmas at Pueblo Bonito MazatlanPosted Jan 4, 2015
Pros: Small size, wonderful view from room. Easy to get around. Two pools. Lots of chairs. Organized trip to baseball game. Rub shoulders with nationals.
Cons: More info about resort upon arrival. Less pressure to go on time share tour. Room could have been cleaner...thick dust on light fixtures/corners.
Location: Beach walk, boogie board and fishing right at the resort. Amenities outside the front door and easy to get to market from here. Baseball game!
2 adults, 2 teenage girls. Free upgrade to one bedroom upon arrival. Nice surprise. Had phoned/emailed before arrival to do just this and got no response. Pressure to book time share tour upon arrival very annoying. Room key was held hostage till we heard the sales pitch to go on tour and no WiFi info given as they want you to go on tour. Need to ask at front desk later. Resort was oddly quiet over Christmas. Good for us but not good for Mazatlan tourism. Shuttle to sister property very easy and a nice change in scenery and menu. Emerald Bay very pretty but Mazatlan has way better beach, closer to action and easy to get around. The rooms here have a much better view of ocean. The staff put on a wonderful Christmas dinner and breakfast buffet was abundant. The serving staff work hard and are very pleasant, this is true for everyone. My third trip to Mazatlan, 1st to this resort. I would return to this resort easily. It is handy with amenities close by. I truly love Mazatlan.

Better than average, but not greatPosted Dec 21, 2014
Picked up a one day stay here while at their sister property, Emerald Bay, because PB Mazatlan is closer to downtown AND, importantly, EB didn't have working wi-fi in their rooms (despite promoting it). Had work to do during vacation against a deadline, so I went to PB. Not as nice as EB but location and wi-fi wins.

First tripPosted Dec 9, 2014
Location: There are a lot of resurants near by that serve good food at reasonable prices. Also nearby are spas where you can get messages, pedicures etc.
This was our first trip to Matzatlan and we went to Pueblo Bonito on the advice of family. As a first experience in Mazatlan the hotel was first rate. That said I found the on site restaurants good but expensive, luckily there are several good places to eat within walking distance. The rooms are nice, we had a very large studio with plenty of seating and a balcony overlooking the pool. The negatives were that the bed was a double and pretty soft. In addition, the air conditioner didn't seem to do much. Offsetting that was a nice breeze that cooled off the the room in the afternoon. WARNING: this is a time share and the minute you are checked in they will hustle you over to the time share table to take a tour of their other project in Matzatlan, Emerald Bay. The bad news is that the sales people are very persuasive. The good news is that you get $200.00 in credit to be used at Pueblo Bonito, 15% off of additional charges and free internet service which was less than wonderful from our room.
