"Good beachfront hotel"
There was an issue with the room. Because of space we were forced to sleep on one of the two full size beds in the room instead of a king size bed. The beach was nice. Be prepared to say no to vendors peddling goods up and down the beach. There are quite a few of them and they work in teams. The buffet was nice. The other two restaurants were good too. Overall a nice experience. I would go back.

"Great hotel, beautiful view, great amenities"
Restaurant food and service was excellent! The staff was helpful friendly and above par. Pool, spa, and rooms couldn't have been more perfect. Highly recommend to anyone for a affordable luxury boutique hotel. The shrimp tacos are to die for.

"If you only want a bed, then this is your place. "
After a long days drive from Siniloa we were exhausted. Our room was so small we couldn't place our suitcase anywhere without having to step over them (only two). No cups in the room, no hand towels, very very basic. However if you just need a place to lay your head and do not want to pay big money, this hotel will do in a pinch.

"Relaxing Stay"
We booked an all inclusive. There are many restaurant options at the resort and the pools are wonderful. The only thing is, you have to make reservations for some of the restaurants a day in advance or else you will be eating at the buffet every evening like we did. A tip of 20-40 pesos goes a long way. The servers and cleaning staff are extra friendly and helpful. Apparently tourists do not tip now a days. El Cid (and Mazatlan in general), is a relaxing and beautiful place.

"The Best!!"
Took my son to El Cid for vacation and what a great time! Went fishing with one of the fishing fleets that El Cid offers at the hotel. 185lbs Marlin, 140 Sail Fish, and 4 Dorados (mahi mahi) the first 3 hours at sea. My son enjoyed every minute of relaxation by the pool and the cabanas at the beach. The price was so low and I would have paid double knowing how nice it was. I will be back!!

"Hotel is at a great location"
I love the fact that this hotel is right on the center of all bars, restaurants, peer(malecon) etc... My fiancé and I went for a 3-day weekend and loved the environment. The only bad thing about this hotel are the restrooms. They do stink like sewer and the double bedrooms are small. The staff need to be more caring and pay attention. I had asked for a small tooth paste since I forgot mine, and they told me that they were going to take it to my room. No one ever showed up with the frikin tooth paste.

"It would of been nice if..."
The hotel aesthetics are overall pleasing. They have very limited dining options and they only have one bar that closes rather early. The staff are pretty pleasant and are for the most part engaging. The rooms and hallways seem that they are in need of some remodeling. Unfortunately for me they decided to begin the remodeling process at 7 am in the room right next to mine during my vacation. When I was awoken at 7 am on a Monday morning I immediately called the front desk and inquired about the loud noises. The person from the front desk stated that that they would investigate what the noise was...they already knew but played dumb. The power tools stopped for about an hour but the hammering continued. Then at around 9 am the power tools began again...for two days straight this continued. When I complained with the front desk they were unable to refund me anything, the only thing they offered was a late check out...no thanks. The hotel would of been nice if they were a bit more considerate to their hotel guest.
