"Nice Place, Mostly Laid Back"
It was all in all a good experience. This hotel is far from any activities so bring your cab budget. It's like 100 ($7.50 USD) pesos to the Golden Zone. I found that much of Mazatlán is Spanish speaking only. My experiences in Cabo San Lucas, Puerto Vallarta, Playa Del Carmen, and Cancun had many more folks who were bilingual. Shame on me for not being but for a tourist town I'd expected a bit less trouble communicating with hotel staff. We were there for 6 nights and only had two real issues during the stay. The first was that they were replacing pool deck tiles with a hammer, chisel, and sometimes a jackhammer. This noise was unbearable, especially bright and early in the morning. A brief question to the head maintenance guy and the noise was limited to afternoon hours and stopped completely over the weekend. Gracias! The next was Sunday night when there were many local guests and everyone had a boombox and/or too much to drink making for loud voices. That quieted down about 11pm but 15m later, the Karaoke started up in the room above ours. They ran until about 3am. That was a bit tough. The final thing was that the pool could have been operated better. It was one of those 'zero edge' pools that requires water to spill over the edge to be automatically skimmed. The water level was too low so it wasn't being skimmed and after busy days there was a float of debris including body and tanning oils on the surface.

"Fantastic view, polite staff, quite but close location!"
Hotel located just outside of busy tourist zone but still close enough to feel connected to what's happening. Older hotel with lovely pool and courtyard right on the beach. Has absolutely fantastic view of both islands. You can walk forever on the beach and even explore the other hotels along the strip. Room was a bit out-dated, but clean & staff very friendly and polite. I'd recommend this place to anyone who wants a lovely location without any intense pressure to buy a time share like at newer resorts nearby.

"Luna Palace Hotel in Mazatlan"
The staff were very friendly and went out of their way for me I was upgraded for free to a king size 1 bedroom suite. The chef at the restaurant cooked some marlin that I had caught in a variety of different ways. It was delicious and he only charged us 80 pesos per person to do this for us. Overall it was an amazing vacation with a superb hotel. Definitely recommend the Luna Palace to everyone that goes to Mazatlan.

"Nice clean hotel really close to the beach"
Our stay was excellent! The staff is very friendly and helpful. It is safe and really close to the beach. The tours are amazing. We took the city tour, the deer island tour and the zip lining tour. All were excellent and the groups were small which was really nice.

"Great stay in Mazatlan"
Have stayed several places in Mazatlan and this was wonderful. Clean, bigger room than expected (kitchen), nice staff and the grounds/pools are beautiful. Wish we'd had longer than three days.
