Worst experience
We booked this hotel through Orbitz which clearly mentioned breakfast as included. But to our surprise at the time of check in the hotel staff informed us that breakfast was not part of our package. We felt like cheated and all our efforts to resolve the matter through Orbitz were in vain. Moreover transportation to haram was overcrowded and for sure hotel condition and facilities doesn't deserve more than two star.

Nice hotel with a close distance to holy Mecca
I really enjoyed my stay in Al Jaad Mahbas Hotel. Many thanks to Mr. Abbasi ,manager of the hotel for being a very nice and understanding host. I was delighted by the hospitality and kind approach of the reception and restaurant staff. Buses are around and available. However,I was always happy to get a taxi only for 10 SAR ; While it only take 1:30 - 2:00 minutes to take you to the holy Kaaba .finally, I'd like to thank the nice driver of the hotel for taking me to the airport on time and safely. I will definitely book the same room in this hotel on my next trip to Mecca.( if available ;) ).

Great for Umara goers
it was amazing closeness to Alharam was the main objective of staying and the bus shuttle made it even easier to go forth and back! I would go back there anytime. The desk service was great and the breakfast was wonderful.

Close to haram and bus station
Room is clean. Tea and coffee refill was not provided, only at arrival. Breakfast was great. Iron was not there. Price was reasonable. TV channels were very limited and some of them were not functioning

In breakfast only following items are available 1-Tea/Coffee 2-Tang as Juice 3-Boiled eggs 4-Fried Potato or eggplant(alternate day) 5-Bread pieces 6-Tomato, olive, fooul and cucumber 7-Honey or Jam (alternate day) 8-Soup 9-No fruits, no omelets, no milk, no cereals

Great stay
It is a good hotel. Nice & friendly staff. They changed our room on our request. Breakfast was nice. Certainly will go back there again.

A home away from home
The overall atmosphere was very quiet and pleasant, room and toilet were well maintained. the greatest plus point is the shuttle service given to the tenant of the hotel to the Holy Haram throughout the clock, enjoyed my short stay hope that will be able to stay for a longer period. the only thing which we felt missing was good restaurants and cafeteria nearby.

Good Hotel but not clean at all
The staff are kind and helpful but the rooms wasn't clean. I found a lot of rubbish of previous passengers below the bed. Bathroom isn't clean I found a lot of hairs and The toilet smile was so bad. I also found a problem with the light inside the room. It wasn't comfortable and need to be increased.

Great deal for the price. Highly recommended.
Great deal from the price. Distance is far, but shuttle service is convenient and great. Shuttle travels on a dedicated bus lane, so the road is always open regardless of the time or traffic. Makes commuting to the haram easy. Hotel staff is great, which is a rarity in Makkah. English speaking staff who actually aim to please... Who would have thought it possible?

Free shuttle bus and good value for money
This hotel cannot be 4 stars. Three or two stars will be more relevant.location is far from Haram but free shuttle bus was available 24/7 so it is not an issue. Room service is the worst , you have to repeat the same request many times. Free wifi only available at reception area. Hotel prvided Complimentary water only on the first night. Breakfast has very limited choices and in general the hotel staff are not friendly and need more training about hospitality including restaurant staff , receptionists and bus drivers. I got the hotel at a a good price so in general I m satisfied for value of money and you should not expect a lot at this price.

Overall good hotel but needs some improvement!
The staff is polite and helpful. The room was clean and condition of the hotel was very good. But the rooms were not sound proof and there was a lot of construction noises from nearby. The breakfast was also not good and there were no choice in menu.

it was a nice place to stay alharam just about 1.7 KM you have to use bus which is available 24 hours and the ticket was free from the hotel. Mr Liaquat was very kind person. Only there was confusion from hotel.com i booked two rooms for 7 people it was suppose to be three and four bed rooms but when i arrive i found that they booked two twin rooms. but mr Liaquat give us what we want for no extra charge.

the place is close to alharam, the bus can take you there all 24/7 hours of the day. the room is comfortableand cleen.the only thing i did not like is the room service. mabye becaues of ramadan it was bad and too late " you can say there is no service at all"

Decent, but they could improve A LOT.
Decent. This hotel should be rated a 3.0 not 3.8. Overall compared to surounding hotels price and location wise its not bad at all, but deffinitely the service I'm used to for 3.8 rating. Hotel condition and cleanliness were pretty good, rooms have big flat screens in them, there's a coffee, tea, sugar, even water was free. The really bad thing was staff, I would have to call 2-5 times to get them to send us up something like new towels, etc. Another bad thing, when we checked out the bell boy forgot 2 of our lugage...it took us a week to get them back, and we had to pay for this, they didn't even try to correct the situation. Location seems sort of strange, but that is actually one my favorite thing about it. It's right outside of mecca, only about a 1 minute shuttle ride...which people would appreciate. The shuttle comes every 10-15 minutes. Make sure to take a hotel business card or the shuttle won't take you.

My stay at Makkah
First of all I wish to tell that this hotel is far away from HARAM unlike what is shown on the internet. You have to take a taxi to come and fro . Second thing the address and the phone number is not correct. We called many times on the given phone number but nobody picked up the phone.When we reached hotel, we found hotel phone number is different. It s still under maintenance. I paid for 4 beds with free breakfast. after checking out the hotel , the hotel cheated me by deducting breakfast fees for two people from my credit card which I am writing to hotels.com. The deducted after 4 hours of my checkout.

Amazing location. Good price. Decent hotel
The location is a little far from the mosque for people who consider walking to it. But there is a bus stop right below the hotel which drops you at the entrance of the mosque. That's just awesome !!! And the hotel gives you ticket for the bus for free. The only problem was it was difficult to find the hotel and the no one would answer the call on the number available on expedia. And there was this manager from Indian subcontinent, most likely from Pakistan, who had a very rude sarcastic tone. He didn't know how to use a Visa card, due to which the card would decline. He got annoyed with me, and then I had to teach him how to use the card. Rest of the staff was very polite and helpful.

Good price, very comfortable
I found the the hotel very good specially if you are comming for Umrah, it is not far from Haram either and the prices is very good speically if you are comming from Americas or Euripe, the management very friendly and helpful.Once suggestion get yourself oriented so that you exit the haram from right gate and could get the hotel bus, thus avoiding taxi and wasting time. Bring the map of Haram it will be very benefetial, as whole i enjoyed staying in the hotel.

Good Experience
Good experience except for few things, they don't serve breakfast every morning I felt bad when I went to the restaurant with my family just to find out they are not serving today. They don't accept AMEX although they have signs posted everywhere. They take your card with smile, run it through machine and tell you that your card doesn't work, I had to use my MasterCard. Try to speak to people other than locals as they don't speak or understand English and say yes to everything and then u r stuck when its a showtime.

One of the best
I stayd in this hotel for 5 nights on 26th march 2014. Found it really nice and comfortable as others mentioned in their reviews. Prices are reasonable actually very reasonable. Staff very friendly helpful and cooprative especially manager Mr liaqat is a top personality if you have any issues during your stay contact him direct (recommended). Haram sharif is 1.3 miles aprox from the hotel but you can get free busses/shuttle service from right in front of the hotel gate 24/7.

Looking at the price one would think that there must be a catch to it. I will say NO. The hotel is comparatively new. Staff is courteous. It gives complete peace of mind in regards to the value of money one is shelling. Remember we spend only few hours in the hotel room. Staying at a hotel that will leave a hole in your pocket for those few hours is CRAZY. The downside You might have to wait for the shuttle bus for 5 to 15 minutes, at times.

The hotel is surprisingly cost effective and relatively close to the Haram. Within 5minutes one is at the mosque as there are buses and taxis constantly. The hotel gives free bus pass

Is a neat and comfortable hotel, its proximity to Al haram vide pick and drop bus was superb as they always provided a coupon tickets for to and fro. The staff were very corporative and obedient, always ready for any complaints or request to attend to it with dispatched. I humbly recommend it for any intending visitors to holyland

Good option Heavy crowd at haram It was easier going to the haram from here via taxi than it was walking from Hilton Towers because of the heavy crowdsthey have a shuttle but not always there so we took taxis most of the time not expensive / Only problem was parking - no parking easily available and access to the hotel via the car is difficult because the it is a narrow road with cars parked on both sides However, in Makkah, once parked you dont use the car until you are ready to leave
