Disappointing Experience

Posted Mar 11, 2013
Pros: Location
Location: Good location for my need. Close to Haram
The hotel should not be classified as 4 stars. The classification is misleading.

Reasonably Good!!

It's about 15-20 mins. walk to the King Fahad Gate at Masjid al-Haram, which isn't all that bad during non-peak season. The Mattresses in the rooms definitely needs an upgrade!! The hotel is good enough if your main objective is to spend most of the time at the mosque. Overall, our stay for 2-3 Nights was pleasant -- although our Complimentary breakfast ( Suhoor - during Ramadan) was knocked off and we were given Iftar instead which was pretty good.

an overall comfortable experience

Posted Jul 24, 2011
the front line reception could not locate my reservation at first. after consulting the manager, the staff then managed to get a print out. the room was comfortable. airconditioning, refrigerator, shower, toilet were working well. it took about 20 mins to walk to haram, given the traffic condition. there was a shuttle to and fro about 10 mins to the haram, but a schedule would have been helpful. was unable to locate the shuttle service coming back from the haram. upon checking out, the front line reception asked me whether i have consumed anything from the refrigerator. i was aghast but managed to inform him that the refrigerator was literally empty upon my entering the room. nonetheless, the hotel is not a place for elderly people, but more for those who are ably mobile and can take traffic and human pollution along the way to haram. given the price and star rating of the hotel, it is worth the value for money paid.
