Very nice. It appears owners have low lack of material and equipment to perform property maintenance. Several details need to be adress. Overall very very nice location and staff.

Quaint, comfortable place.
Hotel El Poblado is a family fin a turned into a bed and breakfast place. It has the basics to make for a comfortable stay. It is not luxurious, but it is personal and offers a good breakfast (choice of two or three options) in the patio / backyard of the house. Birds and red squirrels were a daily morning entertainment.

Quiet spot on a gate secured neighborhood street.
This is a great little spot on a quiet neighborhood street. It's a converted home with a fenced back yard, and covered porch. Rooms are a little tight but sufficient. 24 hour staff are all incredible! Very personalized attention and made it a point to remember names. Breakfast was good and they will cook anything for you at dinner as well. Will definitely return! Short ride to mall, shops, and restaurants. Safe Poblado area!

Nothing Good to say about this hotel.
When I saw the gap at the door on room 113(my room) I knew something wasn't right.Everything inside didn't match with the photos.The Restsurant doesn't exist,just the nice staff make some food for you.I forgot my phone charger,I went next day to pick it up,It was gone.I gave away my whole reservation and stayed at Dan Carlton Medellin.

Nice place to stay
Nice little hotel in a quiet residential area. Overall a nice stay with a very pleasant staff. Only gripes are that there was no air conditioning (it gets hot during the day in Medellin but cools down nicely at night), no safe deposit box in the room and paper thin walls. All rooms seem to face the same outdoor court yard which due to paper thin walls, you can hear people talking as if they were in the same room with you. That aside, nice place.

Great Experience
This is hotel feels, pleasantly, like a home more than a hotel. The staff were extremely accomodating , the amenities were great considering the low price, and the room was clean and comfortable. It was also just at the edge of El Poblado so traffic was less of an issue. I had a great stay.

Terrible Hotel, good location
This hotel is a renovated family home very poorly maintained, the bathroom had a water leak that got to the bedroom, there were spider webs behind the bathroom door and a lot of dust, the towels were ripped, the mattress was like a brick. Extremely expensive for what you get . The only good thing is the location in a nice neighbourhood.

the hotel is good, it is well located in El Poblado, a good zone in Medellin. It is near shopping malls and it is easy to go to downtown and tourist places in Medellin. The hotel is comfortable and personnel is very friendly

Three pleasant days at Hotel Campestre
I chose this hotel for my first ever stay in Colombia,on my way to the Caribbean coast,due to it's `country' location.I wasn't disappointed-the area is green,v.tranquil,each night allowing peaceful sleep.Staff were v.friendly and helpful,making one feel most welcome.The hotel is convenient for transport towards/into town frequent buses allow for economic exploration.Malls,banks,restaurants etc are all within easy reach too.

Hard to find for a taxi driver.
Maybe it's worth the money but very small room. Bathroom is actually too small, no space to store your toilet articles. Bed is a super mini queen bed, nice for young couples maybe but a little more space will be appreciated.

A must to avoid at all costs!!!
AWFUL, to say the least!!!!! After my taxi from the airport stopped at the " hotel", and the taxi driver asked the "security guard" if we were in the right place, the "guard" who "works" for the "hotel" told us to go up the hill to another hotel. When we got to the other hotel up the steep hill, I was told that I was in the wrong hotel and to go back down the steep hill to the "right hotel". After walking back down the steep hill with all of my luggage in tow. I asked the guard again if I was in the right place, and he told me to walk back up the hill again to the "wrong hotel" in what was by then, a downpour of Monsoon-like proportions! Knowing that the "guard" was not giving me correct information, I finally found a decent, local man who could show me to the right place, with the guard still insisting the the "right hotel" was still up the hill. Finally at the hotel that i booked, which bore no resemblance AT ALL to the hotel depicted on hotels.com's site. I asked if there was somewhere nearby where I could find a decent meal. Pizza Hut was the only nearby option. I asked the hotel to help b=me with my situation, but THEY REFUSED ME 3 TIMES!!! MORE TO SAY, BUT NOT ENOUGH ROOM HERE. In summary, AVOID THIS HOTEL LIKE THE PLAGUE, UNLESS YOU WOULD PREFER TO HAVE AN AWFUL TIME IN MEDELLIN, which is quite a lovely city if you have a decent place to stay there!

First visit to Medallin
Hotel staff were courteous, friendly and very accommodating. I would stay there again. Easy 10 minute walk to the nearest Metro stop. 5 minute taxi ride to the Santa Fe mall or Parque Lleras. No frills but clean, tasty breakfast and professional and friendly staff.

Bed and breakfast in El Poblado
The hotel was a former house in the quite and safe residential area of El Poblado. It has no more than 15 rooms. The view of the backyard garden, with unique tropical plants, songbirds exclusive to this part of Colombia and a perennial Spring temperature combined with a fresh and hot typical breakfast cooked for you at the 'paisa' style makes up for the ocasional early morning noise that may wake you up before sunrise. It is close to shopping malls in modern El Poblado. The staff was very friendly and there was always Internet availability.

Good enough for the price paid
The hotel is actually one of the houses of the already 30-40 year old neighborhood, located across the street one of the best social clubs in Medellin. The neighborhood is quite calm and very trendy, not to mention how safe and well located it is. The rooms are a bit old styled and I'd say the old TV sets could be replaced, though I had a good 37" one which still works fine. The bathroom is simple and good enough, but nothing fancy... it does the job and it was clean! Breakfast was good and you had a couple of options to choose from, being it's patio location really nice, since it's by the garden and all the birds can be seen and listened to. I'd likely go back if I needed a cheap option in the neighborhood.

We enjoyed our stay this hotel. The hotel was very clean, centrally located, in a safe, gated area of El Poblado. The staff was friendly, and the included breakfast was delicious. The only downside... the bed was a bit hard for my taste.

Small Personal Hotel
Since I could speak no Spanish and only one desk clerk did, they let me use the computer translator and called a woman for me to speak to on the phone to translate for me. They went outside to make sure the taxi driver they called could speak English and when one couldn't they had him call another that could. This was above and beyond and made my stay easy and enjoyable. Breakfast on the veranda was a morning delight. The price was very fair.

More than what I expected
Let's start with the bad: Internet isn't so great out of the common areas. If the hotel is super busy, hot water isn't 100% reliable. Hotel provided no maps. Good: EXCELLENT STAFF. They treated us like were were paying $400 a night. Front desk is super friendly, cleaning staff is great (but doesn't need to replace the soap every day! Not sustainable! Still appreciated) So clean, comfortable, and VERY VERY VERY accommodating. Clean rooms, nice bathrooms. Breakfast was tasty. Did I mention that staff was wonderful? We were two young single guys staying in a hotel that's very family-friendly and we never once felt out of place. Just great, I recommend it.

A nice friendly small hotel choice in Medellin.
This is a lovely small homelike hotel with a very friendly, helpful, attentive staff. The location is on a quiet private street in a residential section of Poblado but is a close to most things of interest. Metro and shopping are within walking distance though taxis are reasonable as well and the Hotel staff will readily call you a taxi. The small restaurant serves tasty reasonably priced meals. The free wireless Internet is fast and reliable. The rooms are plain but clean and furnished with everything you need. A good economical choice for Medellin...especially if you like small Hotels (I do!) one note: if you take a taxi be sure to take a hotel business card with you for your return trio. Because this is a small hotel some taxi drivers were not familiar with it. However it is easy to find and when given the address all the taxi drivers knew immediately where it was.
