Place is freeway close but is tucked away so our views were of hills and country. Room very comfy. Loved the morning snack delivered to the room every morning.

Excellent Accomodations

Posted Apr 17, 2014
Pros: Location, comfort, cleanliness, and amenities.
Location: Convenient to I-5 and only 5 minutes to downtown Ashland.
A most excellent stay for my wife and me. Ashland is a bucolic place almost lost in time and the hotel was a wonderful place to stay. The staff was helpful and attentive to our needs. The room was outstanding: quiet, comfortable and very accommodating. I will stay again on my way to California.

Pleasantly surprised, lovely location!

Posted Apr 5, 2014
Pros: Reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, friendly
Cons: Breakfast options, proximity to downtown
Location: Lovely location, try to get a room that faces the hills, not the parking lot
I was a bit worried about this place due to the reasonable price, but ended up very pleased. It's simple and not luxurious, but it was nice having a suite (we have kids), and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. The employees also were pleasant, it felt like a small local operation, not a big hotel chain. While not close enough to walk to downtown Ashland, the location is great if you want to be nestled at the border of the neighboring hills and farmland. I had a great run through the misty, cloudy hills nearby.

Comfortable, good value for a family.

Pros: Price, peacefulness, comfort, spaciousness and breakfast.
Cons: Gluten and dairy free options for breakfast, and more information on the restaurant to which they refer people.
Location: There is a lot of theater in Ashland, of course. There are also lovely places to hike and a hands-on science museum.
The hotel is a little out of the way from the downtown, so it's very nice and quiet. It was very plain and simple, but we were very pleased with the accommodations. The suite was spacious and easily slept all five of us. A nice breakfast was delivered to us in the morning. The only downside was that it was full of wheat and dairy, which two of our family members can't eat. For people without dietary sensitivities, it was awesome. The hotel gave a us a coupon for a restaurant downtown at its sister property, so we went there. It was a wonderful place, and we had an excellent meal, but it was very pricey. Just know that's what to expect if you take them up on that coupon.

Nice view of the hills

They upgraded my room when it did not have a view. Their fax machine did not work which ended up costing my $13. They called and woke me up at 12:30 am because I was allegedly making way too much noise in my sleep. They got the wrong room and comped me $46 on my stay. Generally nice facilities and a nice view and my room was extremely quiet and helpful staff but surprised that they did not have a pool or hot tub. They brought a continental breakfast to your door which was nice. Doing some remodeling in other half of facilities so expect that it will be improved in the future. They said they were getting a pool.

Great rooms and staff.

Pros: The rooms, had a suite so someone could go to bed and you had another area to read, work on the computer and watch TV without bothering the other.
Cons: The breakfast.
Location: Away from the downtown of Ashland, we drove to town, not sure what is around the hotel area, some other hotels and restaurants.
We will return for sure, they take dogs, good to know, staff and room were great, breakfast not so great but I go for the room, and how clean it is, that all passed. It is not close to the main part Of Ashland but that made it quiet and downtown isn't that far away, you have to drive but to us...no big deal.

5 star hotel at a 3 star price!

Posted Mar 29, 2014
Pros: See above
Cons: Add a pool and hot-tub.
Location: Easy to find, close to everything in Ashland.
Great place to stay in Ashland! Staff is very attentive, bed is super comfy, room is spacious and quiet and the delivered breakfast basket is the best! Only thing that I'd like to see is a pool/hot-tub.
