A pleasure to stay here

Posted Apr 12, 2015
Pros: Great lobby, good breakfast, felt like an Inn. Great bed. Good restaurant off the lobby.
Cons: Provide tea bags as well as coffee in rooms. Ashland is cold!
Location: Right in the center of town. Walking distance to great restaurants, shopping the theaters, the university, park, etc.
My room was small but the amenities were great, comfortable bed, well appointed with details like the lavendar for a bath.

Nice hotel close to Shakespeare Theater

Posted Apr 11, 2015
Cute place! Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was nice and spacious for a family of three. Upon arrival they had us down for one bed, when we had asked for two. They gave us a room with two beds without a problem. Breakfast included a variety of pastries, coffee, fruit, toast, eggs and juice.

Pros: historical and beautiful. rooms nice and big. loved the old tile and tubs!
Cons: placement of some ice machines?
Location: very conveniently located to shopping and restaurants.
Very accomodating and helpful staff. Answered all our questions and let us use the parking pass so we didn't need to move until after our plays were done.

Excellent location- right downtown. Rooms are very very small (think New York) and quite historic.

Quaint and Friendly

Posted Feb 3, 2015 on Hotels.com
The Hotel itself is very beautiful and the staff are incredibly friendly and attentive. The fireplace and quaint seating areas all over the lobby make it very romantic. This is a historic hotel, however, so the rooms are somewhat small with outdated fixtures. They are clean and comfortable, just on the small side, especially the bathroom.

Pros: Everything
Location: Within walking distance you can find The Shakespeare Festival, coffee shops, nightclubs, gift shops, affordable restaurants and spa services.
This hotel was awesome. The location, staff, and room were great. The hotel is in walking distance of alot of great shops and food places such as the Brickroom and The Mix Sweet Shop which has the best coffee. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to relax and have a great time.

Oasis in Ashland

Posted Jan 29, 2015 on Hotels.com
Only there for one night while traveling through. The room was clean, very comfortable and well appointed. The price was very reasonable for the quality of the accommodations and the great "walk to everything" downtown location - downtown Ashland has a lot to offer. Also, the free on-site parking was a big plus, since they are right in the center of town. Wonderful historic building too.
