“Definitely staying there again when I'm in Ashland”
Very charming and welcoming hotel. Beautiful lobby with a cozy fireplace to hang out at. Wi-fi, breakfast, and afternoon tea really topped off our stay. Friendly staff. Very comfortable bed. And right in town. Definitely coming back!
“Excellent choice for Shakespeare Festival fans”
The convenient location of this beautiful old hotel, just a few blocks from theaters, more than compensates for the smallish rooms. The decor was thoughtfully done, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom spotless. The (included) continental breakfast was well done, with more selections than usual. We were charmed.
“Beautiful hotel and helpful staff”
My husband and I enjoyed our fall weekend stay at the Ashland Springs Hotel. The lobby, especially, is simply beautiful, a mix between grand Victorian and cool Art Deco. Breakfast up in the balcony overlooking the lobby and fireplace was healthy and fresh. It included oatmeal, pastries, juices, toast, yogurt and delicious coffee. Then there were snacks in the afternoon and late at night. Our room is a little small, but the plump bed, soft linen, and plush robes made it feel luxurious. The staff is attentive and helpful. The hotel faces the main street and all of the shops, restaurants and activities. The back door of the hotel is just a few steps from the theaters. We definitely recommend this hotel.
“Nice Historic Hotel”
Love the location...close to everything! Cookies after theatre is great idea. The complimentary breakfast was very nice and nutritious!
“Great Historic Hotel”
My experience at the Ashland Springs Hotel could not have been better. It is in the center of town, with plenty of parking. The room was comfortable, clean and warm, with great views. The service was excellent in every area, everyone was so nice. The breakfast provided each morning was wonderful. They even provide light snacks for guests at the end of a perfect day. The historic audio tours from the hotel are great too.
“Great location!”
This is a good hotel located in the heart of Ashland and just steps from the Ashland Shakespear Festival theatres, restaurants and shopping. Everything you need is within walking distance. We rented three rooms, which varied in comfort. Two of the rooms were adequately sized and comfortable while the third was extremely small with a curtained shower barely big enough to turn around in and no bathtub. The odd thing was the third room was the same nightly price as the others. Other than the inconsistency in room size and comfort, the hotel is a great place to stay, especially if you plan on enjoying theatre.
“Taco Bed”
The Hotel was in a great location. It was only one block from the Theaters and restaurants and window shopping were all within walking distance. There was a nice park a block away. The hotel was great except for the tiny room and taco bed. The square footage was equivalent to a walk-in closet and the bed was so worn that my wife and I spent the whole night rolling into the center of it. I would have slept on the floor but there wasn't enough room. But in the morning there was a nice breakfast.....
“Great Location, great hotel”
Fantastic location. Very nice hotel and great restaraunts and other stores within walking distance. Very good staff.
“charming”
this is a beautifully updated old hotel in a great location... the spa next door is great too...
“All rooms are not alike”
Although we like to stay at this hotel, there are some rooms that are tiny so be prepared to ask for another room if you end up in one of the little spaces, especially if the hotel has other vacancies.
