“They ran out of breakfast by 9 am!”
The hotel was clean with comfortable beds. However, the wi-fi service did not consistently work. We were told by the front desk "At least it's free. " When we went to breakfast at 9 am, they had run out of most items and refused to restock. The staff said "There weren't enough guests at the motel to make more items." I won't stay here again.
“Nice stay, but not completely satisfied”
This is a very nice hotel and we have stayed and will stay there again. A few drawbacks were: 1. There were only paper cups in the room. Glasses or even plastic cups would have been nice. 2. The continental breakfast was empty at 9:30 even though it was offered until 10:30. The facility was too crowed. It should be larger. 3. A wet cleaning rag was left on our magazines when we returned in the evening. Gross. 4. The very young man at the front desk was unable to tell me where the nearest emergency room was or how to get there. He did find the phone number and address online eventually. This is something everyone in that position should know. He was nice, but not experienced enough for an emergency situation. The rooms are very nice and modern and we did enjoy our stay and, as stated above, will stay there again. We go to Ashland every summer.
“Shakespeare Travellor”
The Windsor is a great place to stay and the rooms are more quiet than other similar accommodations....book early to get one of the really nice in-room jacuzzi spas.
“Daughter (9) loved this hotel and the pool!”
We had done a few short trips this year and this was our favorite hotel. The room was large and the bed very comfortable. We liked the pool, had a large hot tub and was nicely landscaped...better than most. Breakfast included eggs and sausages, which was nice. it was a little hard to find mainly because of construction on an overpass bridge at that exit, but when complete access will not doubt be easier. Did find some ants in the room, but that is hard to prevent . They have a shuttle to the Ashland Shakespeare which we didin't take but might in the future. Will stay here again.
“Clean, comfortable, quiet”
This is my third visit to this hotel. They have a shuttle to the Shakespeare festival so you don't have to park downtown.
“Accomodating Staff”
We were in Ashland for my son's college graduation. Due to a family emergency, we needed to leave a day early late in the afternoon. The friendly staff said not to worry, we would not be charged for the 2nd night. Very much appreciated. Also, the room we were in appeared to have been recently renovated - new carpets, new bathroom tiles. Very clean. We have stayed at the Windsor Inn several times and always had a good experience.
“Nice Building With Logistics Failures”
I had several issues while staying here: -We told the person at the front desk while checking in that we were going to pay with a different credit card than I had entered on Expedia. She said that was fine but just needed to see the card; a minute later she apparently forgot and ran the card anyway. We gave her the other credit card and the initial charges eventually fell off, but the pending charge tied up my available credit for the entire trip. -The Web site promised a shuttle service into Ashland; when I asked about its schedule, I was told it wouldn't be running for the time that I was staying. I really do understand that things go wrong, but the shuttle was a big draw and what was promised was definitely not delivered. -The pool was filthy the day we got there, and wasn't cleaned at all during our 4-day trip. The hot tub was great but we weren't brave enough to go near the pool.
“Wonderful Digs and great ammenities”
Favorable located for the traveler. This property has it all and everyting is in great condition. I would definitely stay here again.
“Great value”
The hotel and room were just what we needed at a great price for our short stay. However, when a room is designated as "non-smoking," I do not expect to have the smell of smoke pervading the room -- this greatly reduced my satisfaction with the condition and comfort of our room. Opening the window was not an option on a cold, snowy night and our late arrival precluded our searching for another room as the hotel was fully booked. Other than that, the room was spotless and the beds were comfortable.
“Sleeping Perfect”
We enjoyed our stay. The bed was one of the very best we've ever slept in. The area was clean, quiet and spacious. Breakfast was tasty and every one was pleasant. Good Coffee. Thank you for a great stay.
