Poor choice, better alternatives nearby

Posted Jul 25, 2015
Regretted it the minute we walked into gloomy room that smelt musty. Was a disabled access room with no tub and a walk in shower that meant that the floor was waterlogged permanently, unpleasant when accessing the lavatory. Might have been asked or at least informed of that at checkin? The AC unit gurgled all night and the carpets felt sticky. Really unpleasant. Checked out and wasn't asked how stay was but told receptionist anyway - was met with blank stare and no suggestions of a remedy. This is a rubbish choice of hotel in a great town, look for a better one...

The carpet looked pretty dirty. Otherwise, was clean.

Favorite Stopping Place

Posted Jul 18, 2015
Pros: Comfort, quiet, and convenience.
Cons: An alternative lightweight blanket for when the duvet is too hot. More AC outlets at bedside (I use a CPAP) A night-light in the bathroom.
This is a very pleasant place to stay, and they've made it better with a much-improved breakfast.

Rooms excellent, breakfast very good, only 2 things that weren't so good, shower head was shooting water in all directions, needed to be cleaned out of sediment, coffee machine in room didn't work, when checked out in the morning and told the front desk about the shower head and the coffee machine, they told us we didn't know how to operate the machine properly

Pleasant & quiet

Posted Jul 7, 2015
Pros: The location was right off the freeway and close to downtown Ashland.
Cons: N/A
Location: Downtown Ashland has quite a few restaurants and the Shakespeare festival.
Our room was very clean, decorated nicely and comfortable. The bed linens were very soft. The breakfast had a good variety of choices. It was quiet in the room. The grounds are decorated with sweet smelling flowers.

Overnight in Ashland

Posted Jun 21, 2015
Pros: Friendly staff. Comfortable, spacious room.
I stayed at the Windsor because I couldn't get a reservation in a hotel near the OSF theatre. The Windsor was an excellent choice: the room was very spacious and nice, it was comfortable and quiet, the staff couldn't have been nicer. However, I really prefer to be within walking distance of the OSF theaters. If I'm going to Ashland and can't stay downtown, I will go back to the Windsor.

My son and I enjoyed our stay. The staff was excellent. The room was clean and quiet. We also enjoyed the pool. Good value for the money.
