Nice hotel easy to find.Posted Aug 14, 2013
My sister and I arrived very late, the wee hrs of the morning, and were greeted with a warm friendly smile. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was an easy on off from the highway.

Overnight stay to go to SalemPosted Aug 11, 2013
Pros: Price, proximity to town
Cons: Decor, landscaping around the hotel
Location: Ashland-shopping and tourist stuff
It is definitely the Econo Lodge. Rooms are small and the beds are not very comfortable. The pool is good to have though.

My third time staying at this hotel.Posted Aug 9, 2013
Pros: The cold swimming pool, the king-size beds, the black-out curtains, the view of the surrounding hills.
Cons: Provide half and half (not just powdered creamer) plus a protein option as part of the complementary breakfast (hard-boiled eggs, for instance).
Location: Shakespeare Festival
The heat in Ashland can be intense in August, so the cool swimming pool at this Econolodge is a real bonus. It may be a small pool, but it's always clean and has a nice view of the hills to the west--and I'm grateful that it's refreshing rather than lukewarm or even heated the way some motel pools are in summer. We have stayed at this hotel at least three times now because it's one of the more affordable places to stay near the Shakespeare Festival--plus we sleep well there, thanks to good king-size beds, quiet air conditioners, and black-out curtains. Also, we've always found it spotlessly clean. We ask for a quiet room on the top floor, facing away from the hotel parking lot, and have been pleasantly surprised at how peaceful it usually is, even though it's just off I-5. The owner clearly takes pride in keeping this modest hotel comfortable for travelers.

It was fine for one night.Posted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Econo Lodge was fine for one night. It was affordable and clean enough. It was close to the freeway and not far from downtown Ashland. I wouldn't want to spend a whole weekend there just because it isn't a destination hotel.

I shall return!Posted Jul 25, 2013 on Hotels.com
I was very satisfied with the location to Ashland and the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Not within walking distance but an easy short drive. My room was very quiet considering its proximity to the I-5. The free breakfast was more than adequate. The motel has an Oregon Travel Centre on site filled with friendly, helpful people who will enlighten eager tourists. The owners of the Econo Lodge are friendly and accommodating. Any concerns are dealt with immediately! I felt very safe. It is not in a neighbourhood as such. As mentioned previously, I have no hesitation in saying that I will return to this property in the future.

Economical and cleanPosted Jul 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The Econo Lodge is an economical place to stay and is just off the highway. It is convenient if you're driving down I-5 but it is on the outskirts of Ashland and there isn't much else around. The motel is kind of run-down on the outside, but the room itself was clean and decently-sized. It's a good place to stay if you just need a place to sleep for the night while you're in transit elsewhere.
