Great Value in Ashland!

Posted Jul 22, 2014
This older hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The pool and area was fabulous! Very clean and refreshing. There are a couple restaurants and one coffee shop within one block. We walked to town...about 25 - 30 minute flat, leisurely walk. I know that's not for everyone but we thought it was fine.

Convenient location, good value

Posted Jul 20, 2014
Pros: Convenient location, good value price, large comfortable room.
Cons: Softer TP!
Located across Siskayou Blvd. from Southern Oregon University, clean and comfortable motel that offers good value. Several nice walks right from motel to bike-hike paved trail or through university campus. Close to Market of Choice, The Beanery and Starbucks, several restaurants in walking distance. About 8-10 blocks from Shakespeare Festival center, OK to walk if weather is cooler (often in mid-upper 90s in summer). Koerig coffee maker, microwave and fridge in rooms; offers mediocre breakfast. We plan to stay again our next Ashland trip.

Very nice stay in clean room; convenient location to downtown Ashland and Oregon Shakespeare Festival and SUO. Healthy breakfast choices; kudos for no blaring television in breakfast room!

Great Location, Clean and Comfortable

Posted Jul 8, 2014
This is our preferred hotel in Ashland! Clean, comfortable and a very fair value. It's also right next door to one of Ashland's best breakfast places -- Morning Glory. As a bonus, the air conditioning was on and ready for us when we arrived late on a hot afternoon! Thanks for the great stay, we'll be back!

Family reunion

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Was very pleased with the room itself. Only negative things I can say are the front desk girl(s) were not very helpful when I was trying to mail a postcard and I didn't like the location of the pool. The buffet was really good and loved the Keurig coffee makers in the room.

Close to Oregon Shakespeare Festival

Posted Jul 6, 2014
Pros: Clean, quiet rooms; good price; ample breakfast - although Morning Glory Cafe is right down the street if you'd prefer a full meal (excellent omelets)
Cons: The rooms are comfortable, however the walls are painted a dark burgundy, which made it feel a bit like being in a dungeon.
Location: Southern Oregon University is across the street; five-minute drive to the Oregon Shakespeare Festival; try Caldera or Standing Stone Brewing Co.
We were in town to see several plays, and this hotel was perfect. While it's not technically within walking distance (about a 25 - 30 minute walk - so it's doable, but not super close), it was a quick drive into town. It is near a couple of restaurants as well. The room was clean and inexpensive, especially for high season (July 4th week), and the breakfast was filling.

The continental breakfast was poor. The breakfast room was too small for the amount of guests.

Needed to change rooms - funny smell. Rooms are cramped and rather dark. There are better choices in Ashland.

Don't stay there.

I called a couple of hours after checking out of my room when I realized that I left behind a swimsuit. They never followed up and became extremely defensive when I called back to check. I would not recommend this place at all. It's not about the missing item, it's about their response and lack of follow up. I was told not to accuse them of stealing - which I didn't but the defensiveness is suspicious.

Flagship Inn good location

Posted Jun 6, 2014
Pros: Good location and less expensive compared to downtown hotels.
Cons: Better breakfast selection...perhaps scrambled eggs, waffle maker, bananas. Get firmer beds and better coffee.
Location: Great breakfast at Morning Glory next door along with coffee place. Near Noah's Raft pick up and across from S. OR Univ.
We stayed at the Flagship Inn for five nights. The location is great for plays in Ashland and much cheaper than staying in town. Front desk staff very responsive. Bed was way too soft and had a hard time sleeping. Breakfast was marginal. Great breakfast two doors down at Morning Glory....you might want to share an order. Would probably stay at a hotel a bit farther off Ashland St. near I-5 next time.
