Comfortable

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Quiet
Cons: Rod in closet needs to be lower.
Location: Near the OSF and the University.
Enjoyed 6 plays produced by The Oregon Shakespeare Festival...so location was perfect, only about one and one-half miles from the Theaters. Room was quite large and had plenty of places to charge our various devices. Best of all an enormous mirror over a counter with two sinks!!!

Great Place to Stay for Theater Weekend

Posted Aug 19, 2014
Location: Good restaurants: Breakfast - Morning Glory and Breadboard; Lunch: The Lunch Show; Dinner: The Loft, Liquid Assets, Wiley's World.
My daughter and I stayed at this motel this past weekend while we were up in Ashland to see plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. Although it isn't located right by the theaters, it's only a five minute drive to get to them. The room was comfortable and extremely clean, nothing fancy, but excellent value for a reasonable price. The only thing I would not recommend is the complimentary breakfast, but the restaurant next door, Morning Glory, has the best breakfast in town, if you have time to wait for a table. I will stay here again next time I'm in Ashland.

Right across the street from sou. Huge bonus. Not great but perfectly fine for an older hotel. I'd stay again

It was once a good hotel....

Posted Aug 15, 2014
Pros: The city of Ashland is wonderful, but not the hotel.
Cons: Everything - decor and furnishings, actual customer service, actual working housekeeping staff, a less spartan breakfast.
Location: Ashland has the amazing Oregon Shakespeare Festival, great shops and restaurants, outdoor recreation, wineries, breweries.
This year not so good - nonexistent front desk service, and what housekeeping?, the room decor was shabby, the lighting is gloomy and cold, the "breakfast" while free seems grudgingly offered and certainly sparse. We did not feel welcomed. We are not likely to return. We will seek other lodging in otherwise wonderful Ashland.

Pros: It's about a mile walk to the downtown and Shakespeare festival areas. We liked having a pool available, although we didn't take time to use it.
Cons: Additional updating of the furniture and carpeting.
The hotel is adequate as a place to stay while in Ashland attending plays. It provides a comfortable bed and updated bathroom. Since we didn't plan to spend much time in the room, it worked well for us and was reasonably priced.

Much better than expected

Posted Jul 30, 2014
Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and very clean.
Cons: The surrounding area is a little distance from the Shakespeare festival and shops, but the price is correspondingly lower than more central hotels.
Location: Oregon Shakespeare Festival and great shopping are about a mile away.
Because we booked late in the season, we had to stay at several different hotels in the area. The Flagship was much better than we expected. The service was great, and the room was very comfortable and clean.

Great Value in Ashland!

This older hotel is clean, quiet, and comfortable. The pool and area was fabulous! Very clean and refreshing. There are a couple restaurants and one coffee shop within one block. We walked to town...about 25 - 30 minute flat, leisurely walk. I know that's not for everyone but we thought it was fine.
