Pros: Good internet service. Great breakfast in a comfortable atmosphere. Good location, next to gas stations and freeway access.
Easy freeway access. Friendly staff, very helpful. Made sure that the two rooms were next to each other.

My stay in Ashland

Posted May 15, 2014
Pros: Location
Cons: See the above
Location: Right off of the freeway and near shopping and restaurant we were headed to.
I didn't find that Holiday Inn Express to be what I am accustomed to when I stay at Holiday Inn Express. The elevator was slower than any elevator I have ever used. After checking in we went to our room only to have our key not coded to open the door, back down the elevator we go ): Once in the room we tried to get on line and couldn't because we didn't have the password. It was not on our key envelope or in the room anywhere. ):. I attempted to call the office, but neither one of the two phones were hooked up ??? What if one didn't have a cell phone?? Now that I was in my sleepwear I didn't find it worth dealing with the elevator one more time to go down and get the password. I felt pretty isolated. The quality of the hotel didn't match the cost.

Will stay again!

Pros: The location, they allow dogs, breakfast in the morning and a computer with a printer available.
Location: The local YMCA is within walking distance. Easy access to I-5. The Oregon Shakespeare Festival is about 2 miles away. SOU is close by.
We had a great stay in a good location for our purposes. I will definitely stay there again.

Minutes away from SOU campus

Great margaritas at the Mexican restaurant across the street. Easy access to shopping and SOU campus. Nice for kids to have the pool and laundry facilities. Girls at the front desk were very helpful & cheerful.

Thank you for your comments. I agree, El Paraiso next door do make great margaritas! It sounds like you had a relaxing time during your stay with us, and we're all about that. I am very pleased we were able to be helpful to you. We look forward to your future stay.

Friendly, convenient hotel

Posted Jan 20, 2014
Pros: The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff and front desk. The buffet breakfast was excellent, and so was the coffee!
Cons: Have a coffee maker in the room for three people. Our coffee maker only had a very small pot for two. What does the third person do?
Location: Ashland, Oregon, is a charming community. Lots of shops, plays, festivals, skiing, lakes, and Southern Oregon University.
I booked a single room for three people with two queen beds directly from the Holiday Inn and Suites, but I didn't receive confirmation, so I called Expedia to see if if could help me out. I spoke with a vey nice fellow who straightened everything out. We reserved a room for three nights because we were visiting our newborn granddaughter for the first time. Unfortunately the new mom and dad had doctor appointments our third day and couldn't spend any time with us, so we decided to cut our trip short by one day and come home. We had already paid for three nights, but only stayed for two. I knew when I booked the room that there would be no refunds, but since the doctor appointments were last-minute and we didn't know about them in advance, it would be a very nice gesture if Expedia were to refund our payment for the third night that we paid for but didn't use. The coffee maker in our room was broken, so we told the front desk and they immediately brought us a new one. We also needed more hangers, and they got more for us.
