Abusive Pet Owners

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: price
Cons: I don't want to say no pets however if people aren't going to take responsibility to care for their pets...
The hotel was good for the price, however the hotel allows pets and our stay was disrupted by a constatntly barking dog whose abusive owners left it alone in a strange room entirely by itself while they had a night on the town.

Clean and Comfortable

Posted Oct 28, 2014 on Hotels.com
It was clean and comfortable. Our two dogs were welcomed. There was surrounding grass for the dogs. The hotel was just off the hi-way. However, it had a strange entrance into the hotel parking lot. We had to enter and leave through the next door gas station parking lot.

Right off the Freeway for easy access.

Room was clean. Carpet was old and had some stains. Noticed numerous dogs leaving hotel....that might be the reason for the carpet looking the way it did. Breakfast in the morning was good in the breakfast room with juice/coffee/waffles/eggs/cereal etc.....hallway was noisy and could hear the cars outside along with neighboring rooms shower!

Pros: Breakfast. Pool availability. Comfortable room.
Location: A little far from town (Ashland), but very good for someone passing through.
We needed a reasonably priced place to stay while visiting my sister in Ashland. We were satisfied.

Clean, comfortable, but don't expect the Ritz

Posted Oct 12, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel and room were clean and comfortable, though the room had an odd odor to it, like stale linen. I assume they had changed the sheets, though, so I chalked it up to the fact it's an older property. The front desk staff were great, and the housekeepers were friendly and accommodating. The building itself seems a bit tired and slightly run-down; it's showing its age. Two other things: I needed something for an upset stomach and had to get dressed and drive to a drug store, since they don't keep any pharmaceuticals in the office. I'd suggest that having a few packets of ordinary OTC meds like Pepto-Bismol, Immodium, hydrocortisone cream, etc., might be a good idea. It's also located on a very busy road, and making a left turn to get into town can be something of an adventure in driving. There's obviously nothing they can do about that; just be aware that it can be tough to get off the lot. Once I actually turned right, got on the freeway, and took the next exit to avoid the turn. I would recommend the place to anyone who's looking for a bare-bones, inexpensive place to stay. If you want luxury, a fabulous restaurant on-site, and a turn-down with chocolate candy on the pillow, this is not for you. But for folks who simply want a decent space to sleep, it's just fine.

Disappointed with the hotel

Posted Oct 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was very outdated and had a musty odor. Our room was on the 1st floor, which was below the lobby level of the hotel. It was an uncomfortable spot. The hotel has not been kept up well. The room didn't seem clean. My entire family said it smelled and my children said it was scary. The breakfast buffet was limited and the attendant was clearing things as we were getting food. Overall, the vibe was less than savory and the entire experience was disappointing. I would not recommend it or stay there again.
