“Probably best in Grants Pass”
While not the accomodations we are used to, I would have to say that this hotel is probably the best option in Grants Pass from what I could see. It is clean, and they offer coffee, iced tea, water, cookies all day long - also have a comp breakfast every morning. But it is just your basic hotel with no extra glamour in the rooms. Comfortable enough for a night or two if you happen to be staying in the Grants Pass area.
“Bad experience”
I'm sure others must have had a better time here but I was thoroughly disappointed. Upon arrival I was given the wrong key! So after the dog barked and half naked man answered the door I was given the right key. There was a mix up because of some unfortunate excuse, "shift change confusion." As if that wasn't already discouraging, the right side of the bed was broken! As soon as I sat down it sunk in! Good thing the left side was amazingly comfortable. It was clear that they didn't notice and that was fine. I notified the front desk. The walls are pretty thin, hearing conversations, laughter, snoring from the other room was normal. The last thing that was displeasing was during breakfast there was a false alarm. It would have been fine but along with the other experience it was just highly unsatisfying.
“Best Bed”
I really enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable and cozy. The lobby is inviting and entices you to linger and enjoy the amenities. I found the staff very accomodating and helpful. I will no doubt book at LaQuinta in Grants Pass again.
“Grants Pass experience”
Would use again.
“Good hotel; good price”
Good hotel for a good price
“Wonderful Stay”
The hotel room was extremely clean. I loved that. The Spa was open 24hrs so that means when we checked in late I was able to relax in the spa. The pool is also heated so that was a plus. The hotel is convientely located next to the highway for a quick in and out run but the room was extremely quiet. The heating/cooling controls are left up to you. The room is not too big but its not too small either, however 4 people in the room maybe maximum you want in there. The cold breakfast in the morning is more like a snack like every other hotel but it is open at 6. Staff is friendly, parking is right infront of the hotel so no more long walks. The surroundings have alot of places to eat so thats a plus with a gas station and amechanic shop right across from the hotel. I only booked one night on my way north but i booked it again on my way back. So yes I would recommend someone else to stay there with no problems.
“Maybe next time...”
The room, hallways and pool were disappointing. The hallways were not clean. Maybe due to renovations. Our room was not one being renovated. It was dirty, the rug was stained, the micro and fridge were dirty (we did not intend on using them anyway) and there were unknown stains on the bedding. The pool was not very warm, either. We couldn't use it, because it seemed so cold. When the shower backed up, that was the final disappointment. We ended our stay early. We had stayed at the hotel years previous and enjoyed it. Maybe after renovations are complete for the entire hotel, it will be a good experience again. Management was understanding, and checked the pool temperature saying it was 82 degrees, but admitted it felt cold. Nothing was done about the other problems, but we had already asked to cancel the remaining time on our reservation. I'd wait to recommend until everything has been completed renovation wise.
“Clean but boring”
The La Quinta Inn in Grant's Pass is located near the freeway, but can be hard to get to, due to the one-way streets in town. It is not within walking distance of the town's small restaurant district. Very much an average motel, okay for travelers making a quick stop in town but not an appealing gateway to the region's attractions, no charm. However, the rooms are very large, so that's plus for families.
“Good stop on a road trip”
Hotel was convenient and the price was right.
“Good”
I would stay there again
