Customer service sucks! Running a scam

Booked our hotel using my Expedia app on my phone. We were tired and sick. It was for my husband, myself and 3 young children. After driving for hours and trying to find a room, I got smart and used my phone to find a room. It showed only this room available. So we booked and drove 30 more minutes back the way we came to get the room. Upon arriving the clerk did a little laugh and said "Nope, sorry we have no rooms." My husband pulled up the confirmation to show him. The confirmation even says don't need to call, and can check in late. The clerk said "Yeah well I already called them a couple times to update them. Not my fault they booked it for you." So my husband asked for the money to be put back on our card. He was informed to call Expedia. The clerk was rude and didnt offer to help us find another room or anything.

The people who own it are SO friendly! It's a no-frills place, but clean and a free breakfast. The rates are great. (There is some traffic noise for those who are sensitive.) Also, the Chinese restaurant in front is DELICIOUS!

Location: If Medford is nice at all, I couldn't tell by this hotel.
Later arrival. Bizarre room -- used to be part of a different configuration. Clean enough, but a lot of "characters" around, smoking and loitering. There was an inexplicable door near the bathroom, that was locked on our side, but just behind it seemed to be some sort of ongoing dinner or debate. This went on a long time into the night. The tired clerk that checked me in also checked me out the next morning, then called me on the road an hour later to accuse me of not paying my bill. I reminded him that it was on Expedia. He seemed quite confused.

Pictures dont reveal the exact location. The hotel is in the same complex as a gas station. Not impressed at all.

It was disgusting. The room looked clean....but the odor was horrendous. It appeared as though there were people renting by the week, it had a very uncomfortable 'vibe'. We decided to forfeit our money and moved to another hotel.

So we can deal with a not so nice hotel as it was only for 1 night...but the showers are horrible...absolutely no water pressure.

Older motel, but the room was clean and comfortable. Bed was also comfortable. The room served our purpose, clean comfortable and reasonably priced.
