Not great even for super eight

The room had this random smell and was small. Plus most of the lights didn't even work. Don't be blinded by the looks of the outside, the insides look like they came from a different building( a old beat up one. ) Totally not worth 99$.

Small, crowded room

Location: Convenient location
Telephone and bedside lamp were not working. The staff was very helpful and got the phone working, but not the lamp, which needed an extension cord. Also, in order to plug in the coffee maker, you have to unplug the refrigerator or the TV... : (

Nice hotel

Enjoyed my stay. AC worked wonderfully. Shower was nice, convienant table & chairs. No elevator but there was only about 5 stairs to walk diwn for the lower level. The pool was clean & open. The breakfast area was clean & everything was always full, never ran out of anything. The hotel staff was kind & eager to help. Parking was easy. I would recommend this hotel. The prices were decant as well

Not a good choice

Pros: Clerks.
Cons: Cleaner. Pay attention to detail with repairs. New mattresses. Replace linens (towels were threadbare, and blanket had a burn hole in it).
Location: Ashland is fabulous. Beautiful surroundings, fun shops and restaurants, and magnificent theater!
With the exception of two very kind and knowledgeable clerks, the place was not good. Rooms were not acceptably clean, floors left your feet black, there was coffee splatter on a wall, and corners were fuzzy with dust. Fan in bathroom was super loud. Touch up painting in bathrooms was done in flat paint, but the wall was in a gloss. But the clerks were super nice and approachable. Wish they were working in a nicer place.

One night stay

Pros: Close to Highway easy on and off.
Cons: More usable outlets. More space in the room. New TV.
Location: Only stayed the night. A short drive to downtown where we had dinner at a excellent restaurant.
Ok for a last minute reservation on a holiday weekend. The room was clean, but dusty in places. Very crowded with furniture and no outlets to plug in computers, etc. The in room coffee pot wasn't plugged in and we searched for an outlet. We wouldn't stay again there again.

Clean and convenient

Pros: Cleanliness and convenience.
Cons: Breakfast array, linens, key card upgrades.
Location: Close to lakes, rivers and mountains. Charming town. Antiques galore. Good food from restaurants in the area.
Plus: Clean, close to the freeway, restaurants and fueling stations abound, not expensive. Minus; Chair fabric needed repair, linens thin and sparse (couldn't find a washcloth the first day), complimentary breakfast not very good, typical hotel trend of very few electrical outlets and well hidden. Had to unplug the TV to make coffee and stretch the power cord for my laptop halfway across the room to the plug near the nightstand.None by the table or the writing desk, unless you want to unplug the TV and go without coffee. Had to replace my room key card twice when they stopped working. In summary, it's not a resort. It's a stopover. Not bad as a stopover and I'd probably book it again.

The hotel is in need of some updates and refreshes. Torn curtains, furniture and even the sheets. The towels were frayed, too.
