Awesome motel at reasonable rate

Posted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Ceramic mugs, nice comfy beds with quality bedding, and close in location.
Cons: No...
Location: Oregon Shakespeare Theater Company.
I love this place! It has ceramic mugs, no styrofoam, and nice cotton bedspreads. The AC worked well, and it is a very short drive to downtown and a very pleasant 30 minute or so walk. The breakfast is bagels and orange juice and coffee. There is a grocery store literally next door, just across a parking lot. There is a fridge, microwave, flat screen TV and coffee maker in the room.

Reasonably priced, comfortable, older motel

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: We liked the friendly, helpful staff, and especially the free WIFI. The smoke-free, and freshener-free rooms were great for our allergy sufferers
Cons: The air-conditioner in room (106) clunked whenever the compressor went off. Booking a family, the king sized room or two joined rooms might be best.
Location: While not near downtown Ashland, it IS near many food sources for a family, including an excellent food market, a pizza place,Wendy's etc.
We originally booked a room for 4 adults and 1 child. After one night we were feeling crowded and needed a second bathroom, so a staff member helped us to also book an adjacent room at a very economical price. We were at the motel for 4 nights to attend the Shakespearean Theater in Ashland, Oregon. While the motel is too far to walk to the wonderful shops and theaters in Ashland, it is a very short drive. The motel provides free WIFI which was terrific for our computer using family. The pool, while too small to swim laps, is quite clean and adequate for soaking, sunning, splashing about, and cooling off. The small refrigerator, the TV, and microwave oven were very welcome to a family. The rooms are not spacious, but they are clean and the beds are quite comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful.

The Timbers is quiet, comfortable & clean.

Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: clean, quiet and comfortable bed.
Location: Easy location to get to off 5 N
The Timbers Motel was a great value. For less than $100, you get a quiet, clean, comfortable room that is tastefully decorated. They cheerfully and quickly got our daughter's phone mailed to us after she left it behind. We would stay again.

Affordable and convenient location in Ashland

Pros: I liked having a kitchen with the room. I liked that there is a market next door to the hotel in order to make use of the kitchen.
Cons: Put curtains on top tension bar in kitchen and turn the mattresses around or replace them.
Location: The Beanery coffee shop just down the street from the hotel is much better than the complimentary breakfast offered in the lobby.
Room was nice, had kitchen, which was a plus. Housekeeping had neglected to look inside the sink because when we arrived there were a couple of dirty dishes inside the sink. I left it there for a day, but when they still didn't look in there I washed them myself. There wasn't a curtain on the top rack of kitchen window, so too much light came in during the morning. When I told front desk about it, the response was the hotel doesn't have any additional curtains. So I ended up using a towel, but I wasn't happy with the response. Also mattresses on the sides next to the night stand VERY soft, but very firm on the other side, so I hope the housekeeping read my note to turn the mattress around 180 degrees.

Summer 2014

This Motel reminded me of the motels my family stayed in when vacationing back in my younger years. Definitely not Super 8 or but better than a Motel 6. Close enough to the college and the high school where everything is happening for our stay.
