Wasn't the greatest venue, but have had worse. One gets what one pays for. Couldn't help but think they put out last night's leftovers for the next day's breakfast ..

Nice beach and pool areaPosted Sep 8, 2013
Pros: I liked the location and the free air con and wifi
Cons: Cleanliness of bathroom
Location: The hotel is in a good location, the back of the hotel looks out onto the beach, with lots of interactive activities & bars and food nearby
Thought it was good, bathroom smelt bit weird and the decor very dated, but otherwise fine. Would be good for a cheap holiday to Croatia, lots of things to see and do in Medulin. The staff were very helpful, apart from the maid who threw out a bag of my clothes... probably unintentional. Was easy to get to Pula airport as well as the bus stop is right outside the hotel, ideal for budget travellers like me. All in all, I had a great experience and would recommend to anybody who wants a family friendly cheap holiday

In need of an overhaulPosted Jul 28, 2013
Pros: Walking distance to Medulin
Cons: The carpet needs to be pulled up and replaced. Matresses and bedding are old and worn out.
We booked 2 rooms for four nights for our stay, so circumstances were not isolated. Both rooms were damp and dirty. The carpet in one room was wet because the door to the "balcony" did not seal. The hotel is in great need of renovations, paint and new carpet. The matresses were lumpy on all four beds. We purchased the half-board option, so breakfast and dinner were included. The food was not remarkable, but edible. After the second day, we just had fruit for breakfast and ate dinner downtown on the strip. WiFi only works in the hotel lobby and there are no ethernet cables in the rooms.

Budget friendly resort style hotelPosted Aug 26, 2012
Pros: Close to the sea, good national cuisine, friendly staff.
Cons: Loud music and animators from the swimming pool.
Location: the hotel is within a walking distance to the shops, restaurants and harbour in Medulin.
This is a good hotel for Families and couples. Our sea view room was small but clean and the view was really stunning. I would not recommend this hotel if you want to sleep before 22h as it can be quite loud in the evenings due the loud music from the swimming pool. Apart from that this is a nice hotel, the staff is very friendly and helpful.

Hellish Hotel in Hell -- it was so bad we left five nights earlyPosted Sep 1, 2010
Hotel Belvedere is the first hotel where we have been so unhappy with the hotel, the service, and the city that we decided to check out five days early (and lose money in the process) than endure any more days there. We found a lovely hotel in Porec -- only about 20 percent more expensive than Belvedere-- and had truly amazing days there. We strongly advice not to go to Medulin but, if you must, by all means avoid Hotel Belvedere The hotel is a large dull-looking building that does not look like it has received any major repairs since its construction 30 (or 40?) years ago. The two rooms we stayed in were the smallest hotel rooms we have ever seen, the mattresses uncomfortable, and in both rooms were we unable to get a double bed. There was a large fresh mold stain in the ceiling of the room and a permanent bad smell. The beach front cafe seems to be newly installed (and looks great on the photos on the website) but the couches are impossible to use because of the reek of cat urine. The service was horrific. At the check-in counter, the guy simply shrugged when we explained that we had asked for a double bed, not separate beds. On day three when we asked if it would be possible to move a double mattress into our room given we still had not gotten a room with a double bed, we were laughed at and told "no, we don't do that at this hotel". And be prepared to be yelled at by the staff in the dining room for taking a seat at a table which they haven't set yet!
