Property was very quiet and had free parking which was great.paid for a king and single bed room but when we arrived this wasn’t available but didn’t get a refund. Bathroom wasn’t very clean. Electric cook top however no pans etc. equip consisted of a toaster, then 2 each of knives, forks, spoons 2 plates, 2 dishes, 2 cups and 2 glasses. Dish washing liquid was only cleaning product. No hand towels or face washers .very basic.

Unfortunately my room stank of cigarettes and air freshener - I had to leave the windows (and hence curtains) open overnight to combat the smell so didn’t sleep well. The bathroom light didn’t work and even though I’m a small person I barely fit in the shower. Not sure what you’d do if you had broad shoulders.

More like Dis-comfort Hotel! The bathroom smelt of urine, bed was not made correctly, no cover on the duvet and pillows/mattress needed upgrading (very uncomfortable). I don't recommend this hotel.

My stay at the Comfort Hotel East Melbourne
I selected this hotel as it was close to St Vincents' Hospital which I needed to attend early the next morning for an Angiogram. On arrival, this place looked very smart, the desk staff were very helpful, and my room, on entering, looked very smart and clean. Later I noticed a fair bit of damage to the ceiling in the bedroom (water damage or condensation.) Then trying to freshen up after a long and tireing trip I kept banging my head on a glass shelf over the basin and the shower door will only half open as it hits the corner of the sink cupboard. There is a step up into the shower which is too high for me as I have a leg that won't bend and I had bad angina at the time and couldn't take the risk. For a newly refurbished hotel, I thought it was very badly designed. There was no dishwashing detergent to wash any dishes if they were used. There was no information on where to eat (nothing available at the hotel, only a coffee bar.)

The room was great. King sized bed very comfortable , Shower excellent. Off street parking good but tight for a big SUV. Security covered outside areas. Staff pleasant and obliging.It was a pity the Cafe was closed.

I had booked at Comfort Hotel but ended up being placed in the apartments next door so I am unsure whether the hotel would have been a better option or not. The apartments are old and run down with minimal renovations being undertaken since probably the 1970s as that is what the vintage looks like. It was pretty disappointing as the photos on site looked new and modern but not what my experience was. Also, the place just had a bad smell like urine. Luckily we were only staying the one night otherwise, I would have been out of there and moving somewhere else.

The pictures on the website definitely did not match the actual premises. The onsite cafe was deserted, apparently as a result of covid and staff had no idea on its reopening Staff were quite abrupt and not really helpful at all Our room had huge cracks in the wall, paint peeling from the bathroom area, power points hanging off the wall to name a few Ideal accomodation for members of a footy team to have somewhere to hang out but for a couple, pay the extra for a better quality facility However, great location, just felt maintenance has fallen off and the overall property has been let go At least onsite parking was a definite bonus

It was clean and comfortable but that's as far as it went. Signs that its getting a bit tired - sticking bathroom door, dirty external windows (but it was the second floor). And poor overall design. TV faces the bed ( - OK) but the couch just looks into the bathroom. Having a very mini kitchen eg having a sink and 2 plates and 2 knives and forkes was appreciated. (I hate it when you have to try and fill a kettle from the bathroon tap.) Most dissapointing was that there was no sign that the attached and advertised breakfast/coffee bit was active. The room for this exists but it just had rubbish bags stacked against the door. No wake-up coffee! Oh- and dont try and take even a half decent sized car into the parking space. We had a jeep and even with the mirrors folded in every proximity alarm went off in RED. ie it is a real squeeze between the wooden fence and the shubbery.

Easy on site parking. Quick and easy checkin/checkout. Nice revamped new bathrooms, shower good. Nice kitchenette even though we didnt use it. Heater was old and didnt work very well on cold night we were there. No facewasher or handtowels provided, just towel each.

It’s good for value and a easy walk to the Australian open which was my goal plus a tennis facility right across the street. Downside was the hours the staff kept and the fact they will do no housekeeping. I was there for a week and I emptied my own trash and there was never any swap for a clean towel . But the owner was nice when they were around.

Booked this place for a 5 day stay and had rented an e bike which had a battery which needed to be charged. Upon seeing I had an e bike, the staff immediately told me that e bikes are not allowed on the premises. The next day, they accused me of charging my e bike battery in room and upon asking for evidence, they said they had none and decided to call the police on me reporting that I did not want to leave their property. After a heated exchange, the retracted the police. Customer service at its highest level.

While most of the room was okay, the bathroom and some of the common areas were looking dated. It was a bit disappointing that no housekeeping was provided and there wasn't any cleaning cloths etc under the kitchen sink. Staff were upfront about a smoke smell which while a bit disconcerting, at least they were honest about it which is better than not saying anything. On site parking is a huge bonus though and is near public transport (tram, bus and train) which helps a lot.
