Great location

Posted Nov 23, 2014
Pros: We will definitely stay at Amora Riverwalk Hotel again. Next time we would like to stay longer, so we can hire a bike and ride along the Yarra path.
Cons: Our package included a 'welcome gift', which wasn't offered. However, upon inquiry, as we were checking out, we negotiated a bottle of wine.
Location: The location is fabulous, with the advantage of being very close to the city, but away from the hustle and bustle. The tram is right outside.
The hotel is located an easy tram ride from the CBD and close to fantastic restaurants. The Yarra is right on the doorstep and the outlook from the balcony is leafy and beautiful. A jazz band was playing when we arrived on Friday night and there was the opportunity to enjoy happy hour.

Nice being out of the CBD, great change.

Posted Oct 30, 2014
Pros: Being out of town, but close to everything. comfortable, spacious rooms.
Cons: The lifts need an upgrade, very slow...
Location: Richmond has lots of great shops and cafes. Easy tram ride to town without being right in the heart of it all. Could have taken a bike ride
Easy tram rides to town, nice hotel with comfortable facilities. Excellent staff who were helpful and efficient.

Quiet hotel, great for families

Posted Oct 22, 2014
Pros: Spacious rooms. Quiet. Spa bath.
Cons: A gym.
Location: Lots of cafes and restaurants nearby. Parks and tram stop right outside hotel.
We stayed 5 nights, with 3 young children at the Amora. It was a quiet relief from the busy city, but only a tram ride away. Most nights we walked along Bridge Road and dined at many quality restaurants and cafes along the way. If we visited Melbourne again we would definitely consider staying at the Amora again.

We had our wedding here on the 11th October, not only was it the best night of our lives but the level of effort, professionalism and care all the staff had placed into it was astonishing - it was perfect the hotel room was so clean and we'll organized no paper guest services all on the TV the bed was so comfortable with the level of products in the spa suite just made it such a pleasant stay!!

Good place to stay.

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: It's location, friendly and efficient staff across all areas.
Cons: My elderly mum (87) was with us, she found the bath too high to use and had to go up and down staircase to use upstairs shower. Easier shower access.
Location: Close to City. Good facilities in Richmond.
We'd stayed here previously and had a good experience. Decided it'd be good to bring other family members including my elderly mu (87). We all enjoyed the accommodation. Enjoyed the Bar area, happy hour too and the complimentary tapas on Fridays!

Avoid on a Saturday night!

Posted Sep 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel itself is fine, rooms & service etc are all OK with no problems... however... the hotel is oval shaped around a central garden / atrium, and on a saturday night there was a function with ridiculously loud music. So loud that I could barely hear the TV in my room, let alone sleep. Utterly ridiculous - to disregard the needs of fee-paying guest in this way is incredible - worst noise-related experience I've ever had in a hotel. And yes, whilst the music stopped at 11 - it's not much use when you're staying there for a race and up at 5:45am...

We love this place

This is our second visit to the Amora Riverwlak hotel. Everytime we come Matthew, the duty manager, looks after us so well as do all the other staff. They are only to happy to go out of their way for you (including for our bub) and often bless us with a free set of drinks or a plate of canapes. Plus they just got some new trek bikes which you can hire for free and ride along the yarra. My wife and I thoroughly reccomend Amora Riverwlak and we'll be back again!
