Location was good, but facilities badly need updating. Paint, replace shonky furniture and blinds and it would be okay for the price. ON Dandenong Road meant quite noisy, not great if you had small children.

Great place to stay!

Pros: proximity to tram, interesting spots, travellers' services and a car parking
Having a daughter living inMelbourne we travel over as often as we can. We always stay at the Armadale Apartments: reasonable inexpensive, great to have a kitchen, always clean, great preservice, proximity to trams and where we need to be, ability to park a car etc etc. This time I had made an error when booking and the desk staff were really cooperative about putting a single bed in our room.

comfortable. but old..perhaps a repaint, replace some tiles in bathroom, the iron was suspect,leaks water,,tv could be larger

Location: If you must stay, it's the 64 tram to the Williams Road stop.
Noisy, windows allow noise through. No net curtains or blinds, have to sit with curtains shut during daytime. Horrid mould/vomit smell from curtains, left a sore throat. Leaking gutter, water banging onto the airconditioner 24/7. Airconditioner hardly worked. Television from 1980s, had just 5 rubbish grainy channels. Made just one request from reception, for change of a coin for their laundry (which you pay for). They wouldn't even change it, "oh, we don't give change". Be aware reception (not mentioned on Expedia's website) is only open until 6pm. It is mentioned on the hotels own website. Outside of these hours staff may appear. Not the hotel's fault but the SevenEleven shop next door was shut down during my four week stay. The verdict. Would be nice apartments, but nothing has been spent on them since the 1970s. Slept about 2 hours each night.

Horrible initial appeal better inside the room

I did not like this stay at all. The hotel is really hard to drive into. One day we had to find alternate parking as we could not drive into it as cars were parked in no standing areas and there was no one to call. Hallways and stairwells are very thredbare, they stink and remained dirty for our entire stay. Our appartment was old but not too bad. It was freshly painted and quite confortable. It was a shame that accessing it was so unpleasant.

Pros: The staff
Cons: The duvets - only had blanket type things but was more than adequate
Location: Close to public transport
Although the apartment we stayed in was a little dated and needed some painting the staff more than made up for it. Everything was clean and the staff went out of their way for us when others wouldn't have. Firstly we turned up about 2h earlier than the check in start time but they quickly made sure our apartment was ready and let us in (we had alot of luggage and had just got off the plane so it was very appreciated!). when we were ready to leave we took too long packing so checked out late but again nothing was said and they were great about it and even looked after all out luggage for the whole day so we could visit the city before our next flight! Everyone was polite and friendly, clean towels and more coffee every day along with anything else we needed. Would definitely stay there again if we ever come back to Melbourne.

Prahran apartment

Spent a few days here with family. Very convenient for trams into the city. The apartment had all that we needed though it was a bit 'tired'. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. Stairwell could do with a clean to give a better impression on visitors' arrival. Reasonable value for money given the location - and would use again.
