The room had everything needed for a very pleasantPosted Dec 16, 2013
Pros: The location, the price, the room itself was perfect for my needs & the hotel staff were helpful & courteous.
Cons: Cannot think of anything.
Location: The location was very good. I was able to walk to Victoria Markets as well as into the main city area Myers, David Jones etc. trams at the door.
As I was a first time visitor to Melbourne, Arrow 0n Swanston offered us convenience to all I wanted to see and do while being away from the congestion of the city.

I would not stay at this hotel again.Posted Oct 29, 2013
Room was tiny and the bed was like a rock. The hotel is very noisy you can hear doors closing and street noise.

REVOLTING HOTEL !! DO NOT STAY HEREPosted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Nothing - not even a nice location
Unfriendly staff, smelly hotel, noisy lift all night, minute beds and room, cant move in the bathroom, had a feel more like this was a university permanent accomodation not a hotel. View from window dirty washing on clothes line. You people partying all night. HORRIBLE and expensive

The staff were helpful, location great, tram at door, no complaints. We will definitely stay there again. Room was clean, we'll equipped, beds ok.

Good hotel, in a good location.Posted Jul 15, 2013
Great location to CBD. Rooms clean. Living area a little bit small, especially if you were staying with kids. Staff friendly. Would stay here again.

Bad ChoicePosted Jul 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We chose this hotel because it said that there was no cancellation fee on their booking page and we were in doubt to the length of our stay. Beware this does not mean you will not be charged if you check out early. You will still be charged for the full length of your booking regardless. Room was small and trains kept you awake. Really not much positive to say about this hotel at all. They also charge you extra for car parking which was not mentioned on booking.

Good. Close to the city. But a little out of date.Posted Jun 27, 2013
Pros: Close to the city. Tram stop right out the front.
Cons: Upkeep of things. Scratches on things. Broken shower (we got our room changed)
Location: Only two tram stops or 10 mins walk from Melbourne central station. Great location.
The serviced apartments were nice and in a good area. However they are very small. And also a few times we had to go down to reception because there were things missing in our room. Only small things like washing up liquid and frying pans. But annoying none the less.

Compact single roomsPosted Jun 27, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although the room was smaller than we had expected, for an overnight stay it was adequate. It would be better if when booking, guests were to advised of how to enter the car park & how to access reception.

Great location and comfortable room, but very basiPosted Jun 17, 2013 on Hotels.com
The thing we liked about Arrow on Swanston was the location. Being on Swanston Street meant that we were only a short walk from the CBD. There was also a tram stop right outside, with trams travelling just about anywhere. The layout of the room was a little odd, and had it been planned better, would have been more comfortable. For example, the freezer door rubbed against the wall-mounted phone upon opening, the door to the deck (which faced a multistorey carpark at the back of the building) was tucked away behind the television, and there was very little room in the kitchenette for draining dishes. In the bathroom, there were no towel racks or even a toilet roll holder! Instead, we had to use the handrail that ran alongside the toilet and towards the shower. The bathroom seemed rather large compared to the rest of the room - probably for disabled access, hence the handrail - but it almost seemed like a waste of space as all it had was a toilet, single basin and shower. There was no shower curtain or divider around the shower, so it seemed to take up a lot of unnecessary space. We were provided with 2 bath towels, 2 face washers, a bath mat and tea towel, but no hand towel for the bathroom. After enquiring about this, it turns out this is standard. While there were a few oddities encountered with the room, we still found the room quite comfortable and adequate for our needs, particularly due to the reasonable rate and the proximity of the hotel to areas of interest.

Good overall experience.Posted May 29, 2013
Pros: Clean and comfortable
Cons: Noise from rubbish truck in morning
Good overall experience. My room against the northern wall overlooking a laneway and a rubbish truck emptied bins in that lane about 5:45am every weekday with a lot of noise which woke me up every time. Door was jamming against door frame when I first got in but reported this and it was fixed the next day. Rooms not fancy but comfortable which is what I needed.
