Our first time visiting melbourne

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Loved our bay view from the window of our room just beautiful. Beds were so soft. Rooms cleaned everyday. We spent a lot of time in the spa. So glad we chose the Bayview on the park to stay at. Will defiantly be back :)

The reception staff were incredibly slow, rude and inattentive. They even had to ask me for my phone to view my booking confirmation and then took it with them out the back. After I had gotten it back I could see they had also been going through my personal photos. When I finally got to my room, although it was nice enough and clean, the pillows were wafer thin.

Hotel close to amenities

Posted Apr 16, 2015
Pros: Close to the city and reasonable rate. Also had adjoining rooms which would be good for a family.
Cons: More thorough cleaning of the rooms.
Location: City is close by and easily reached by tram. The lake is also close by and is great for a morning walk,
Was quite a good hotel for the price. The room was large but could have done with some prints or something on the walls which were quite bare. The pillows were thin and hard. I dropped my belt behind one of the chest of drawers and when I moved it to retain my belt found a brochure, business card and a hotel room key behind it. Left the chest of drawers away from the wall so that the cleaners could clean behind it when they cleaned the room, but alas they cleaned around it rather than at the back.

Pleasant hotel, close to Park and good transport .

Pros: The restaurant food was good, would recommend the Vietnamese beef salad. Service in restaurant good and much more personable than reception staff.
Cons: This is not something that can be changed, but windows designed not to open , air con works well, but prefer windows to open.
Location: Location fine, not far from beach and restaurants if you don't mind walking 15 mins.
Room spacious. Clean and comfortable. Pool area pleasant.
