Very noisyPosted Jul 23, 2014
Pros: The room it self was nice and we were talking about returning.
Cons: Staff tell the truth. We checked in early they had time to move us. We didn't know about the night club until we returned home from our night out.
Location: It's close to everything and we would return if we had been moved to a higher floor.
When we arrived we asked if our room was quiet and was told YES your room is. We were on the 1 st floor and right above the night club. Very noisy.

Oz Comic Con TripPosted Jul 17, 2014
Pros: Very close to a number of great restaurants and public transport. Staff were helpful.
Cons: There were a few items in the room that required repair, the clothes line in the bathroom and the door latch which were reported.
I had a great time in Melbourne and the central location of this hotel made it easy to get around and find some great food within a very short distance. i.e Little Ramen bar in little bourke st and several others. Going to the convention, this hotl made it easy to get to and from public transport in costume.

Overnight MiseryPosted Jul 14, 2014
Cons: Manager returning my calls. Updated furniture, clean carpet, updatd bathroom, walls cleaned and tidy.
Location: Great for in the city, shops etc
I booked te wrong night! But when I rang 2 days before and mentioned thurs for checking in the receptionist didnt say I was booked for the following night. We were charged an extra $120 even though the room was free. Dirty carpet, holes in the walls, no hairdryer, Towel rack falling off, dated bathroom, dirty arm chairs, Manager didnt call me back after 2 messages.

Quiet and Central!Posted Jul 10, 2014
Pros: Location, quietness
Location: Central CBD. Trams right there. Walking distance to everything CBD. Shopping everywhere with Myers, David Jones and H & M across the street
If you want luxury this is not for you BUT if you want somewhere central yet you would never know because it is so quiet then this is for you. It's quite old but has been maintained reasonably well. It was clean other than the spare blanket which had a previous residents hair all over it! It's got everything you need for a comfortable stay with Melbourne CBD literally on your doorstep. Only other thing if you do not do stairs our room had a mezzanine bedroom which may be a problem for some!

Very central!Posted Jul 3, 2014
Great hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful, offering local advice. Hotel was very spacious! Room was clean and bed comfortable. Very central location, but not too loud, busy and crowded. I would recommend for anyone doing a shopping trip. Close to all major shopping centres and food areas. Easy to catch tram to various places.

Very pleasant apartments in MelbournePosted Jun 19, 2014
Cons: I did request no stairs on booking, but was originally given a loft room. The tile grout of the shower requires attention - sorry to say.
Location: Perfect - to explore Melbourne - Block Arcade, Royal Arcade, restaurants, shopping, public transport.
Treated with respect and upgraded to non-stairs apartment, tastefully furnished, even included a mini dishwasher, which we didn't use. I would recommend this hotel if staying in Melbourne especially without a car. The parking was a bit tricky for me as the rear entrance to Little Bourke Street had a lot of stairs which I hadn't counted on. Otherwise I was very happy with Breakfree Heritage - lovely old building with modern interiors and facilities, a quiet sanctuary in the heart of Melbourne.
