Very comfortable Apartments close to the City

Posted Aug 12, 2014
Pros: Ease of access to the city, retail outlet centres, the MCG and surrounding sports facilities. It was very comfortable with good security.
Location: Located within a 10 min tram ride of the Centre of Melbourne and a 15 mins walk to the MCG and the Smith Street shopping outlets.
We stayed at the City Edge apartments for four night and found the the rooms very clean and comfortable. There were three adults and we had ample room to gather and suitable rooms for our own privacy. Located within easy walking distance were a number of very nice restaurants that provide excellent food as either eat-in or take-a-way. How ever due to the facilities provided in the apartment we were able to cook our own breakfasts and other meals if and when required.Given the convenience of the apartments we had easy access to the city and were able to attend a number of shows and even walked to and from a football match at the MCG.

Comfortable centrally located apartment

Posted Aug 6, 2014
Pros: The location is extremely handy for Interstate visitors that come to Melbourne to access Sport, night-lifes, shopping and sight-seeing.
Cons: Minor items such as location of basin under the vanity unit and a swivel wall mounted TV would be good.
Location: Being a couple of Km Nth East of the City with tram line just outside it was very convenient
We had a relaxing four night stay in the very comfortable, well fitted out , apartment. It is centrally located with easy access by foot or tram to he City and the sporting precinct around the MCG.

Good sized apartment

Posted Jul 11, 2014
Pros: It was clean and a good size and close to IGA and trams and within walking distance to the city.
Cons: Definitely the bathroom. The shower desperately needs an upgrade.
Location: A few nice restaurants close by. IGA in walking distance, for groceries. Trams a five minute walk away. A twenty minute walk into the city.
We found the apartment to be in a good, clean condition. It was a good distance from the city and an IGA and trams. There was a comfortable king size bed in the main bedroom. We needed a second blanket for the twin room as it was cold and only one spare blanket in the cupboard. The shower was disappointing. You could hardly raise your arms to wash your hair, the cubicle is so tiny and it leaked onto the bathroom floor because you step up into the shower and had to have the door open to turn the taps on.

You get what you pay for!!

Posted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Location the only positive
Cons: Everything in the facility
We stayed at the Gipps street property - it is run down, old and in desperate need of some money to be spent. The carpet was the worst, the supposed secure facility was a joke - the outer door didn't close. It is cheap but very nasty. The only plus is location - no trams needed if attended Melbourne Park or the MCG.

The most bad experience I every had. What a joke.

I will never stay at the City Edge Apartments ever again. I thought my son and I where staying at 179 Powlette Street to go down to 92 Albert Street to walk up a flight of stairs with our bags. For the price I paid the room was dirty and the bathroom was full of mould with dirty cupboards. Very bad customer service and was hit up for a $200.00 bond for the key which was NOT explained to me at the time of the booking. "WHAT A JOKE"...."NEVER AGAIN"
