Not so Easy Stay

Posted Nov 20, 2014
Cons: Communication
Booked with Easy Stay and had been in contact with them via email regarding out late arrival, all seemed well until we got to Easy Stay to find out they had cancelled our booking the day of our arrival. This was our first time in Melbourne and we did not know our way around. The gentleman on the 24 hour check intercom did not seem too phased that we were basically left on the street after mid night with no where to stay not to mention I was in tears. . Long story short we booked with Easy Stay thinking on arrival we would have a room to sleep in and this was not the case. I Have since been in contact and the manager of Easy Stay has said they were shocked in the way we were treated by staff, there had been a real breakdown in communication on their behalf and they have now carried out further training on their staff and on the 24 hour check in service. I personally would not stay here again due to what has happened to us but hopefully for future Easy Stay guests this is a situation that will not happen again with their changes to check in.

Good location - okay room

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Happy with the room, given the price we paid. However the housekeeping wasnt' too good - the floors weren't clean, there was dirt all over the floors. But the rest of the room was good, and the location was excelent if you like to stay close to the beach and not directly in the city center.

Good location. Room layout not good.

Posted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: Location Comfortable bed.
Cons: Bathroom Sofa to sit on. Room layout.
Location: St Kilda Sunday Markets - these are great!. Trams, beach, cafes, Luna Park.
Good location as only minutes was beach, shops transport. The description and photos on website states a sofa, however there was just a table and 2 chairs. The TV was next to the bed, therefore hard to watch in comfort from the bed, as that was only option since no sofa to sit on. Bathroom is old and paint peeling. No hand towel or face washer, only 2 bath towels and 1 floor mat. Wardrode not good - small and rail too high to reach. Room was a good size. Bed was comfortable. No local flyers or information about the area in room.

The lady we saw at reception and who also drove us to the place we stayed at in St Kilda was absolutely fantastic. Very friendly and nothing was a bother to her. We are looking to come back for the football season next year to stay with you! Dont remember the address of the place we stayed as it got changed when we checked in, due to renovations being done in the one in Fitzroy Street I think.

OK for what you pay for

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The staff were friendly... although the cleaning staff had left our door open so we could have had everything stolen... :(
Cons: Sound proofing...
Location: St Kilda is a pub/club and café district. Fun to go out in, but hard to get sleep in..

Stayed in the a"renovators delight"

Nothing wrong with the room , except the hot water runs out quickly - just be wise, remember you get what you pay for. The room was clean the sheets and towels were new , tram right out the front . 5 minute walk to Acland street for resturants and cafés and cake shops.
