First time at Melbourne!!! What a great experiencePosted May 25, 2015
Pros: This Hotel is practically in the center of the city of Melbourne! everything is a walking distance to it! You feel at home almost instantly!
Cons: They don't provide a parking space!!! That is a little bit annoying! Coming out to the rain to pick up the car across the street! you may improve that
Location: You can go to Melbourne Museum by walking just 7 minutes! The free tram pass steps away... big malls to do your shopping, anything you need or want!
We went as a family trip, with my husband, my daughter, son in Law and my grandson! Arrived at the Avalon Airport. We stayed in a hotel in the center of Melbourne! The Staff was happy to help and so friendly! Room was clean and the king bed so comfortable! The room has a kitchenette, dishwasher if you fill like cooking! But for us that was not the case, we went and try the best doughnuts cafe, the best gelato, Spanish food (Tapas, the best sangria i have try in Australia, very good Paella at Simple Spanish), Greek food around the corner, Mexican food, we drive away and visit the 12 Apostle and also went to the best burgers! Melbourne is a city that has lots of things to do and see!!! Went to Melbourne Museum, that is just 7 minutes away from the hotel! We took the tram to the Market place... great experience! Fresh fruits, flowers, clothes, belts, hats, soaps, candy and of course Victoria Cafe... beautiful coffee place! We rent a car but you really don't need it! The tram around the city is free!!! One of the things I like the most was the people of Melbourne very friendly, communicative, great manners, simplifying: LOVE IT!!! I will get back soon, to visit new places... we stayed for 4 days and it was not enough! So much to do and so little time. We walked, and walked, amazed by the beautiful parks, full of nature. This city is simple, well design, we feel like you are in Europe or a mixture of Europe and USA. Big avenues, green places, like a city that does not sleep!!

Location: Close to restaurants, Gaol, Queen Victoria Markets, Fitzroy Gardens, Chinatown, shopping and transport.
Room was comfortable, clean and staff were friendly and helpful. We walked all over Melbourne from our room. Plenty of eating places within minutes and easy access to trams and buses. Very happy with our accommodation. Very reasonable rates too.

Central Location, Friendly Staff & included wifiPosted May 2, 2015
Pros: My room was on the 6th floor and this particular room was very spacious, with a nice bathroom and quality facilities/equipment.
Cons: Room service, communication seemed a little inefficient. Requested a room clean which never eventuated. Received a wake up call we did not order.
Location: Central location, walking distance to Lygon Street, Federation Square and even the MCG with trams close by. An IGA across the road for your grocery.
Great rooms, with everything you need in a self-service apartment. However, there is no housekeeping on weekends which can be inconvenient especially when you're checking out on a Monday, so essentially you haven't had a clean room since midday Friday. You can request for your room to be cleaned on the weekend, which we requested for the Sunday, however it never happened. Other than this, very happy with my stay, friendly staff, good prices for nice, spacious rooms. Would stay again.

Cons: larger foyer
Location: restaurants,floor shows,MCG.
Surprised to find location in lane way but worked in our favour as there was no traffic noise or pedestrian noise at night. Left item in safe-phoned and item posted to WA (express post) at no charge.

近市區 交通方便!!Posted Apr 24, 2015

Handy location , quiet , clean, comfy bedPosted Apr 20, 2015
Had a 3 day , 2 night stopover in Melbourne. Fraser Place was conveniently located near the Central Station and an easy walk to free trams, food, shopping and fun. Our room was ready when we arrived , very tidy, lots of space and nice friendly staff on the front desk. Just a no hassle stay.
