No internet in room

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: It's a nice new facility with a great location.
They put us in a room with an internet jack in the wall and the hotel offered no wireless internet in the room. Our phones and tablets don't have an wall jack. After two attempts and an hour and a half with our bags still packed, they agreed to move us. They moved us to a very nice room with wireless internet.

Exactly as advertised - lovely stay

Posted Mar 6, 2015
Nice 2-bedroom apartment (one fo us, one for the luggage). Very adequate kitchen, balcony looked out onto the Marina, could see the river and ocean. Large sitting room, nice bathrooms (2). Staff very helpful. Not in the downtown area, but in the "free trolley" zone: trolleys ran every 10 minutes or so, and carried us into and IGA)around downtown. Trolley stop was 1/2 block from our door. Neighborhood grocery (IGA) and the liquor store across the street from the IGA kept us in Australian wines (proprietor was quite knowledgeable). We would stay here again.

Great position for Australia Day fireworks display

Posted Jan 30, 2015
So much more space than a regular hotel room. We had a 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment overlooking Docklands towards the bay which was perfect for the fireworks that night. If we were facing the city we would not have been able to watch them from our room. We could have gone downstairs to the esplanade to watch them but it was so cold that night. Showers need some attention re: mouldy grout around the bottom corners but most hotels I've stayed in usually do too so no big surprise there. Overall very satisfied.

Great Location!

Posted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: Convenient next to IGA
Location: Very easy location for being in Melbourne for business at the Ice House ice rink.
Nothing to complain about. Have stayed in this location before several times. This was the best apartment yet.

comfort for the whole family

Posted Jan 27, 2015
Pros: conveniently close to shops but away from the noise of downtown. We can cook.
Cons: pool and spa
This has enough space for the whole family. Good view, close to the sea. Fantastic for holiday.

Pros: Lots of space, great balcony, beautiful location, great places to eat nearby.
Cons: The quilt was covered in long black hair. The room was not made up during a two night stay yet our friend's was. There were no sheets for the sofa bed
Location: Good views, Gorgeous place to be
Facilities: Above average; Service: Sufficient, Helpful when asked; Cleanliness: Quilt covered in hair.; The Grand Mecure is managed by the Sebel. The hotel was not badged clearly. The Sebel is probably better if you want full service.
