Good locationPosted Sep 5, 2014
Always stay here. But still waiting on the hotel to provide decent sound systems that are iPhone compatible. TV was also out of order.

Good locationPosted Aug 5, 2014
Pros: The location and the space we had. Apartment was well fitted out. Each bedroom having its own heater.
Cons: Main bathroom shower floor waste did not drain quick enough which caused it to spill out all over the bathroom floor. Window let cool air in.
Location: The star is within walking distance. The free tram also runs past the hotel on the main road. Harbour town shopping is also close by.
We booked 1 queen and 1 double. And ended up with a 3 bedroom apartment. Overall the apartment was clean. We had good views of the city from the balcony and views of the star from a few windows. Gym is well equipped and clean. Was good to have parking the building which we could drive in and out as much as we like.

Pros: Clean, comfortable close to where we wanted to go. Easy to get in & out of
Cons: Don't stay in many hotels so don't have much to compare it to
Location: We wanted to go to a wedding reception held in Docklands. Also wanted to visit Queen Vic markets. Enjoyed driving around the city
Went for wedding & enjoyed looking around and eating out

Great family apartmentPosted Jul 23, 2014
As a family of 6 we had a great time . The room was amazing with beautiful views of the city. We loved the spa! They even called us to let us know we left our child's wallet behind ( they sent it home ). We will stay again.

Clean room but expensive for what you getPosted May 27, 2014 on Hotels.com
The overall room was comfortable and clean. I had paid extra for a sea view but this was partly obstructed by another building. I guess my biggest disappointment was that the room advertised and show in the photos wasn't what we got - at all. The room looked a lot bigger. I felt it was expensive for what we got.

Never againPosted May 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Reception in building 1, Apartment across the road in the rain to building 2, car park a 5 block drive from reception around a loop to building 3 which was a short walk in the rain from building 2. The local precinct had a number of closed down reataurants and the whole area had a look of no one is interested. A dining table with 4 chairs but only room for 2 people. A lounge chair blocking access to the lounge had to be moved to access the lounge and lots more.Whoever rated this place 4.0 must live in a tent. I'd give it 1.5

Harmonious blend of calm surrounding and city buzzPosted May 19, 2014 on Hotels.com
Located amidst the Docklands precinct, Grand Mercure is ideally located for someone travelling to Melbourne. The inviting furnishings of the hotel made my 6 weeks stay a pleasant experience. Convenient layout of the suites meant that I could not resist temptation to cook and enjoy the meals from the balcony that offered a spectacular view of evening skyline. Grand Mercure is a perfect fillup for a home while away from ones own.
