Business stop for six nightsPosted Feb 22, 2015
Extremely convenient for the conference centre in Melbourne. The Hilton is next to a series of riverside bars and restaurants as well as a useful factory outlet centre. Rooms are large and very well appointed. Location in the Docklands but only a short and pleasant walk by river bank to get to the centre of the city

Good location. Friendly, helpful staffPosted Feb 19, 2015
Pros: Comfortable beds!
Cons: Better lighting in the main entrance foyer; it's quite dark during the day. WiFi: very unreliable and internet costly!
Location: Within the South Wharf precinct of waterside restaurants and DFO shopping. A pleasant 15 min walk beside the Yarra to Melbourne's CBD.
Competent check-in staff. Views from our room (Rm919) towards Port Phillip Bay (beyond the freeway) & city views towards Melbourne Star Observation Wheel. Room was compact, but had well appointed modern fixtures. Very comfortable beds. 'Peter Thomas Roth' bathroom products excellent! Water pressure not too bad. Gym well equipped. All staff were very friendly & helpful. Only ate breakfast at the hotel which was great!

Beautiful view of MelbournePosted Feb 17, 2015
Cons: Unforyunatly there was no swimming pool (my husband didn't realise this when he booked)
Location: Perfect location for walks along South Wharf and into the city. Two minutes walk to a direct factory outlet!
We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Only gripe was our milk and minibar were not stocked daily ( I had to ring each day and ask) Best gym facility I have ever used.

Paid to stay in suite and felt like a old pubPosted Feb 17, 2015
Out of all the hotels I have stayed in a suite that is out of date bathroom fittings falling off! Old out of date furniture and an uncomfortable bed. Better hotels in Melbourne to stay Suite 1301 not worth it. Sorry Hilton but you need to lift your game

Nice hotel shame about the facilitiesPosted Feb 10, 2015
The room was nice but it was the little things that killed the experience, no car park, no pool, cheap 2 ply toilet paper, staff nice but only helpful if you asked, smoking section at entrance to hotel so walking in or out you walk through smoke haze.

Wonderful 5 star hotelPosted Feb 7, 2015
Pros: location - walking distance to pretty much most areas in Melbourne CBD; very large room size; bed was extremely comfortable; excellent shower and bathroom facilities; room was spotless and cleaned daily; fitness facilities were top notch; hotel staff very friendly; check-in/check-out procedure was effortless. Cons: not much really aside from the fact that the bathroom sink was slow to drain.

My stay at the HiltonPosted Feb 2, 2015
Shared a room with my mum to watch the Australian Open over the weekend. Beautiful view from the window looking down on the river and the Melbourne lights at night. The only critique my mum told me were the pillows. They offered no support to the neck as once you lay down on the pillow, the pillow offers no cushion but presses down with the weight of your head. So I would suggest to bring a pillow with you for those who are very particular about their comfort for sleeping. Overall, FANTASTIC! Thanks :)

Top class hotel, quiet area, close to CBDPosted Feb 1, 2015
We really enjoyed our stay. Excellent hotel, not far from city and quiet area in the wharf. (Tram 35,70 takes us to the city in no time)

Wonderful LocationPosted Feb 1, 2015
Pros: Love the location and great staff
Cons: WiFi is nit included in the room and at $30 per day is over priced. We just expect WiFi and were surprised that is was extra.
Location: Right on the river near the city centre it is a perfect pot.
We stayed for 3 days over the Australia day weekend The staff were really great and made sure our stay was enjoyable. Since we were arriving early from an overnight flight we needed to check in early. We were told to call from the airport that we were on our way. We did that and they made sure our room was ready for us. After a night flight this really appreciated.

Great LocationPosted Jan 31, 2015
Cons: Aircon control in suite rooms has to be changed by the hotel so you have to ring to switch on/off. Not really convenient.
Location: Plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. Good city access to walk or take the free trams.
This was without doubt the best hotel we have ever stayed at.Take the executive king Yarra river view room and you will not be disappointed - it's well worth the extra money.
