Nice conveniently located hotel.Posted Sep 20, 2014
Pros: Nice staff, comfortable. Easy access to Trams.
Cons: More hot water pressure
We were met by friendly informative staff who made us feel at home. Room was comfortable well appointed and clean. Could have more pressure for hot water in the shower, other wise very good. The Urban is conveniently located on the number 96 tram route with stop 134 almost outside on Fitzroy Street, so getting to the City or connecting with transport to the airport is a breeze. Also St Kilda Pier & beach within easy walking distance along with many cafes, restaurants & bars. Would definitely recommend a stay at the Urban.

Good location, but nothing else going for itPosted Sep 15, 2014
Just wanted a hotel in a good location, and on that basis, it works. Problems included: - toilet that wouldn't stop flushing making a noise and wasting water - stains over the carpet - awkward room layout - wardrobe in close to one side of the bed making it awkward to use - view onto a back yard area full of bins - awkward small lifts requiring a key card every time, difficult with luggage - car parking is an additional charge None of these are real deal breakers, and may be acceptable to others, they just made our stay more awkward and meant the hotel didn't quite live up to the promise of a modern, clean, comfortable place that I was hoping for. -

Location: walk to beach, nice italian restaurants, Sugar Beach was great restaurant, Prince of Wales bar was nice and friendly.
Great hotel one block from beach, great location among restaurants and near Prince of Wales bar, Front desk staff was excellent, genuine, friendly and helpful with computer station. Nice vibe with a beach town feel like old (sixties, seventies) Santa Monica or old (sixties, seventies) Miami. Great value and well maintained!

Heart of St KildaPosted Aug 27, 2014
Pros: Location, price, modernity, trams out front door, very quiet rooms...
Cons: Young blonde female receptionist should look you in the eye and smile when engaging with you.
Location: Fitzroy St restaurants & bars, St Kilda Pier, Esplanade Hotel, Luna Park, Acland St, trams...
My second stay wit a guest at Hotel Urban and once again very pleased wit the experience. Clean rooms and great value for such a nice boutique hotel in a fabulous location. Off street parking a bonus as is 11am check out!

Hotel Urban (St Kilda, Melbourne) - Heck Yeah!Posted Aug 10, 2014
Located in one of Melbourne's coolest area codes, Hotel Urban is the ultimate place to stay for a quick get away. A stones throw away from one of the most popular beaches in Australia, and minutes away from the famed Chapel Street, there is no shortage of fun to be had. Completely un-pretentious, interesting and comfortable. This hotel caters to all type of travelers. From the outside its doesn't seem like much, but once you enter those front doors, you will soon find out why people speak so highly about this hotel. Wonderful murals on every floor, beautiful art scattered all over the place, and warm and welcoming staff ... Its is different (in a good way) to almost every hotel you have ever stayed in. Best of all ... Its affordable! I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to get a glimpse of why Melbourne is considered one of the best cities in the world.
